I remember listening to this when I was 15, back from school... 2pm in the afternoon and pretty much having so much time in hand back then. Wishing time goes faster and go out living on my own. We were lucky to have lived through the greatest period we’ve ever had in music, never thinking it would ever really end. I think most SM fans would agree it’s easily their Best ! But this title track just seems to get better with age , I’ve always preferred this & Big Sleep to the bigger chart hits that I love too , but NGD is the one I play at least once a week listening to my vast collection too ..... John Paul Jones strangely!
I didn't much care for Simple Minds growing up in the 80's because I only knew them for things like The Breakfast Club theme. Then I heard this years later and it's fantastic! An awesome widescreen movie of a song, Brilliant stuff
Even through shitty PC speakers, this sounds as powerful as ever. Simple Minds was a brilliant band, and this was their masterpiece.
Treat yourself to some better ones, get someone’s good but their upgrading old uns of eBay get a DAC too to put inbetween the PC & Speakers this exemplifies the sound even more , headphones too if you’ve a smart phone get on Spotify or on the PC too & check here out

Krestian Nielsen Id forgot all about that Usura track. New gold dream is the sort of song you can have on repeat for an hour and still not get tired of it.
