OH MY GOD YES! These 2 should seriously have replaced Siskel & Ebert. THIS is chemistry. Why can't they find 2 reviewers like this again? This type of discussion is what we all love about Siskel & Ebert.
I enjoyed the Smith and Roeper episodes the best! He and the other guest critics should’ve deserved more attention other than just AO Scott and Michael Phillips all the time later on before Roeper officially left in Summer of 2008. At the Movies wasn’t much the same when the two Bens started
I remember how funny Smith was on his guest stints on this show. I was kind of hoping someone had posted his review of "Music and Lyrics" when he told Roeper (who liked the movie and compared it to Woody Allen) he wished he could "choke the life from him."
who else wants a review show called tarantino and smith where they review movies and if one gets sick like edgar wright, robert rodriguez, eli roth or stephen chow could fill in i would watch that show
These two should have their own show, I never liked Roper but I'd like to see him butt heads with Smith, they seem like how Siskel and Ebert used to be.
Wow these two guys made good chemistry unexpectedly!
I honestly didnt like Ebert and Roper together but I liked Siskel and Ebert together

I see only 1 reason, why Roeper continued 2 years after Ebert leaving the show: he was hoping for his partner to recover and return.
I've never been so simultaneously on the side of two people with differing views before. Bring back Smith and Roeper!

I think Smith is a great guest host for this show. Great chemistry .
And years later Channing tatum is a box office star/leading man
I really like these two. What surprised me was Smith, he's very non chalant and fun to listen to
Now that's chemistry!

@Fanik10 Because Ebert praised most of his movies, even ones other critics didn't, such as "Jersey Girl" and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back"
Good honest disagreement.. Love this shit.. These guys got chemestry
I won't say his dancing was terrible but yeah I liked the movie because it was a good movie and for the exact reasons Kevin Smith stated.
Channing is a GREAT dancer!
Agreed.
what does Kev think now?
I'd rather watch these two guys than watch "Step Up."
Why would Kevin Smith fill-in for Ebert when Siskel and Ebert trashed Mallrats?
So? Martin Scorsese co-starred with Ebert and Ebert gave The Color of Money thumbs down!
The Floor is yours. You're a very small man with a small heart. LOL! Smith you need to be on this show more
Roeper is right all the way.
Nice one at the beginning, Kevin. Jersey Girl was a piece of shit movie!
Lol
Wow Kevin! Crap has been sent!
Yeah this movie's garbage, but these 2 have great chemistry as hosts lol
Sanbro to be honest, the other three Step Up sequels sucked big time
Kevin is great, but the movie sucks! :)
Kevin smith loved ebert not because he was a great film critic but because he liked his films. Kevin Smith is a very shallow person with thin skin.
