It seems annexing Crimea and autonomy for eastern Ukraine is Putin's main goal. More important than Finnish and Swedish neutrality. It seems annexing Crimea and autonomy for eastern Ukraine is Putin's main goal. More important than Finnish and Swedish neutrality. That main goal is still within reach, but we'll just have to see how it plays out. If it's true that USA is pressuring Ukraine to pick up the pace of the offensive, that is not a good sign.
