    It's so nice to see you take care of your machines.
    If more did, it would be a much better used market.

    For Years Long before the battery operated grease guns came along My Grandfather, Dad & Great uncle used the old school Lincoln Grease Guns . Once i graduated HS I Bought a Lincoln Air grease Pump for 15 gallon /120lb drum . & a 50' Graco Grease Hose Reel for the service truck . (although i kept a pistol grip grease gun handy) One of the best things i ever done because i was the one that always serviced the equipment in the mornings . & Although it's a never ending battle i dont care for a dusty cab in any piece of equipment or trucks i operate either. I was always blowing or sweeping the cabs out daily .

    Nice shop truck! Makes life so much easier when you have all the right tools to keep the equipment running. Do you have to refuel and grease every day?

  • @arkansas1313
    @arkansas1313 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    That is a great looking service truck, nice and clean. Maintenance is a never ending thing but a must do thing! You taking care of the fleet's required services will pay huge dividends in the long run. I can see by your equipment's good condition that you know that. A very good job!
    That's a nice repair on the haul truck.
    Thanks for the video!!!

    Next time you grease instead of taking your glove off to take the pull tab off when you take the plastic cap off the one in before you inserted into their grease gun use the plastic cap to pop the tab up so you can grab it with your gloves

  • @The_blindpizzaguy1300

    I know this will probably sound like a stupid question, but why do excavators need to be greased before use?

    • @leebarnes655
      @leebarnes655 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Steel bushings with steel pins actually need greasing during operation, but they haven't gone to this level of care yet since it's too expensive to implement in the field with remote grease lines and cubic millimeter grease injector for each boom movement. Until such time, a daily shot of grease keeps the worms out of them and bushings/pins last long enough to make a living with as is. Just kidding about the worms, grease worms don't really exist any more than a sky hook does.

    • @The_blindpizzaguy1300
      @The_blindpizzaguy1300 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it because the pens get stuck if they're not? Or is it more complicated than that.

    If that little plugs worth 2-$300 maybe it's a good job you don't need a complete muffler. The comment about the kids was right, little buggers mess with stuff if they can on job sites. Biggest problem is like you found though unless you got vandle guards on all the windows the little shits break them instead, if they can't mess with other stuff. it's a big problem round the big cities in the u'k where there is nothing for the kids to do in their spare time and they are bored.
