Honestly it's rather confusing, there's a new drama Story of Kunning Palace with Bai Lu & Zhang Linghe that I've been waiting for. It's gonna premiere sometime this month. This drama obviously is something else.
Always amazing when the ancestors did everything to protect later generations but later generations would become incomplete and destroy themselves. This types of history always have been repeating themselves. 😓 Emperor Kang Xi was 4th emperor of Qing Dynasty and 2 emperor of China. He was opened minded and curious about everything. He’s the only Chinese emperor allow Christian missionaries spread their sermons and Roman Catholic build their churches. He also accepted Jews and many other country citizens. He also accepted lots of inventions and meeting engineers of that time. You can say it’s was the last golden age for China. After his death, everything went downhill. Till the late 1980’s when Ding Xiao Ping open the door for international travel and private business with certificates. That’s pretty lame. And now it’s even worse than the time of Empress Dowager CiXi.

@@rainaromes This came out in 2013 but it's worth watching. I watched it about 2 years ago. Found it and going to rewatch it.
