The SS Camaros from 1970-72 were not available with racing stripes. That was a Z/28 option only, and the SS option could NOT be combined with the Z/28 option.
@@evanbarr9270 Looks more like the grill and bumper on my 72 SS 396/402 four speed...the 70/71's had split bumpers Remember GM was on strike 174 days... Sept 28 1972
camaro fun fact.. the COPO 3 piece rear spoiler wasnt a option til april of 1970..the rear spoiler put down i think 650 feet of down force, they raced in the trans am series races in 1970
I have owned a 67 bench seat sport coupe 327 power glide Copper in color... Totaled after ten thousand miles . I was 18... I gave a grandchild of mine the Green 81 Z 28 ...
Nice but unless it was a L78 then I would not have painted the rear black and I would not put Z28 stripes on it. I still own my 70 Z28 I bought in 1981 from the orig owner.
Yes, I found a 350 from 70 Camaro. I had no idea what it was other than a 350, put it in 76 sb fleetside and it was WAY more go than expected. Immediately ran the numbers on the web and surprise, a free 300 hp 350 I found in back of a van in the middle of nowhere Alberta. It was definitely more than rated too, like anything else from that year. Wish I still had it. I also found six big blocks siezed at a different spot but someone beet me back to them.
the ss was made for most of the year the z28 was the one only made for half the year since they come later on in the year and the strike stopped production of them
Nope if you do your homework they sold with both the low and high rear spoiler. And... While the super close fitting body panels of today's cars are great that just isn't how they were produced back then. Turns out you need a little space on these cars.
there are options what kind of spoiler you want when you order? it just like a 69 copo camaro you can have any kind of transmision,i got into a argument with a dude he said 69 copos only came with m22 rockcrusher 4 speeds...wrong!!!! i seen a few with turbo 400 automatics
Other Options, equipment, facts: One-piece low-profile rear spoiler standard; 3-piece high spoiler (COPO 9796) available optionally after Apr. 20, 1970
I spotted the differences right away. Did you think you would not get called-out on them? It wouldn't take much to restore this car to period correct. You should get to work.

I am pretty sure you are correct. Only z28 had the stripe option. I do see the console had the upgraded package; so that may have been the rs package.
It has the deluxe interior package but does have the Rally Sport option as it clearly lacks the split bumper that distinguishes the RS.
what about the ss on the grill?

Beautiful. $20k seems like a great asking price.
the copo style rear spoiler was available option after april of 1970
Learned about the differences in this model Camaro 15 min ago. This video was suggested to me. Lol, first though was those stripes are not correct.

Those are high back seats...never came in the 70
I see headrests
good catch, 👍
THE GAPS ARE 3 MILES IN SOME AREAS
I see something it's missing........ me behind the wheel. lol

John Milner right, 396 got the black rear treatment
How much Bondo?
Oh yeah these 300 4 bolt mains are pretty rare.
THIS IS a nice clone !!!!!!
My 72 had no spoiler White vinyl over gold saddle back interior 402 four speed three barrel...I was nineteen
If the car was restored it was a bad one, body line do not line up and miss alignments on panels.
That is common on 70-73 after market panels. I had a 70 RS and they were a bitch ti line perfectly.
Beautiful!!!
Nothing rare about it.
I wana buy it how much expensive it
My 65 original Chevy Impala is for sale 12 Grand... but I would consider a trade
OMFG not a 350 four bolt main!!!!!
All hillbillies MUST include "four bolt main" after displacement announcement. It's the law.

300 horsepower heads ?

Sorry to many incorrect things for me ! Nice car though for the price!

Actually all 1970 camaros were delayed due to problems with quarter panel mfg. resulting in march 70 release date
@@rossjennings5735 Hence why they are called 70 n a half Camaros
They NEVER put SS emblems on the grill....fenders only
Kevin Murphy this says differently, unless SS was combined with RS, which obviously this is not. nastyz28.com/camaro/camaro70.html#70-z27
@ Kevin Murphy you are wrong
my 72 ss has a grill ss emblem, and it's original.
Wrong rear spoiler? For a 70 ss
Yeh like the first comment "CLONE CITY ".
