  • Come see us spend our last day in Malaysia snorkeling on the islands nearby Kota Kinabalu - Manukan Island and Mamutik Island. The tropical islands had corals, fish, sharks, and clear blue waters for snorkeling. Thank you to everyone who helped us along our way as we visited Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi, Penang, and Sabah. We love Malaysia! #malaysia #kotakinabalu #sabah

    Fabulous! ❤️ Thank you for making malaysia your 1st country to visit in your adventure series, and for all the kind words you two have about the country. You two are certainly welcomed to return for another visit in the future, maybe for a longer period next time too 😊
    Btw from where did you fly out to get to malaysia, korea or the US?
    Well, so long now, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your explorations in other countries 👍

    These islands are a bit remote to travel to and quiet but they are beautiful. Awesome backdrop is Mt Kinabalu soaring above the clouds. Great that you guys are adventurous and travelled all the way there.

    Pre-Covid, Kota Kinabalu had the largest Korean population in Southeast Asia. Not sure about now?

    People always say "Leave the best for last". Thanks for chosen 코타 키나발루 be your last destination here in Malaysia. Do come back any time with plenty of direct flights between KK and Seoul. Just 5.5 hours / MYR 2K away. Yes, the koreans love 코타 키나발루 so much until they set up a Consulate Office here!
    Best Wishes to AMWF💛

    Was the snorkeling experience a little disappointing with all the dead coral?

    • @twobetween
      @twobetween  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We wouldn't call the snorkeling itself disappointing since there were still quite a lot of fish (& our dive master had a great eye for spotting them!), but like we mentioned in the video, it was a little sad to see all the dead coral and to hear from the guides how much the area has changed. Luckily, there are some ongoing efforts to improve the reef conditions, so hopefully those efforts continue

    Chinese tourists have been restricted to leave to China for over a year if not 2 now. CCP has lifted COVID zero restrictions earlier this month, except they have a huge spike in cases now.

    • @twobetween
      @twobetween  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I think 2023 will bring some crowds back if the Chinese tourists are able to return

    Global warming and pollution can kill corals. As sea temperature rise, many corals are threatened worldwide.

      Thank you for watching! Yes, we heard the water temperature is a big factor for corals
