Brother, he’s just too good. Won La Liga player of the year, won the league, won the champions league, unlocked his potential as a free roaming box to box, box crashing goal scorer. Worst match of the Euros so far. And this overrated England team had a part in it. Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands played so much better, more balanced teams, especially on the ball England are horrible. Trent is not a midfielder, just playing long passes doesn‘t qualify you to play in that role. He isn’t press-resistent and can’t play on the half turn. The left side is bad, Foden needs to play in the 10, he would do better than Bellingham. Against stronger teams, you need more creativity in the middle. Jude in the 10 can’t offer that. They lack a controller as well, like Kroos is for Germany, Rice is not that guy. The defence will struggle against better teams, especially Trippier on the left is far off international top level. Overall i would be shocked if they make it past the quarters.
Why they are favourites is beyond me.

England need to build around their midfield if they want success. The team has such a bright future and solid youth core. Bellingham, Foden, and Rice should always start in the midfield imo.

Jude Bellingham is one of the only positives to come out of a talented yet dysfunctional England team who looked far from their best. At this point he’s starting to have a career that’s so perfect and is there anything that he cannot do. For the people who think that he ghosted today and did nothing, this performance against Serbia is another example on why he’s one of the most complete and versatile players in world football and he’s still only 20 years old not even in his prime and he’s been around forever and has played in 3 major tournaments for England before his 21st birthday. He has shown no signs of slowing down as he’s gone into this tournament and has made a mark already after a record breaking debut season at Real Madrid where he scored over 20+ goals in all competitions won La Liga was the best player in the league and won the Champions League and now at the EUROs he has hit the ground running with a game winning goal and he carried the ball from the defense to the attack a lot he was getting past defenders winning fouls showcasing his skillset and he won the ball back on multiple occasions with his work rate and ability to cover the ground.
England weren’t even at their best and you have to realize that they wouldn’t have won this game without him. He can do that while also making a deep run in the box popping up with a headed goal and this well rounded skillset he has being excellent in attack and can contribute to the defensive side of the game makes him a perfect modern day midfielder and he is so complete and we need to acknowledge that the game isn’t just about the flashy players especially when Bellingham is a game changer and impactful in multiple ways beyond his goals. He has the world at his feet and if you think he’s overrated and nothing more than a PR merchant, then I can tell that for club and country you don’t watch him week in week out because whether he wins the Ballon Dor or not, all I know is that he is a generational talent who just keeps getting better every year.
So when are we going to see them at their best? Times running short!
