That flat, holey tabletop is niiiiice. I've never had that luxury. For me, it's concrete, kneepads, clamps, and careful measuring, , tack it, beat on it, and re-measuring.
You gotta work with the tools you have not the ones you wish you had!
You wanted 20,000? now you have 120,000 subscribers ! Great job!
When I watched it, it was at 144,000! Look out, Taylor Swift!
OK, honestly been waiting for something like this. Everyone else is all about buying $50-75 castors, for their workshop table? There are a couple of smaller channels where they either made their own, or have a nifty spring loaded one made from wood. However this is a great example of working from first principles, IIRC as they say in the UK. You trade off a little internal space for the benefit of not having casters/feet sticking out from the table trip hazards. And, it look relatively newbie friendly to build. Subbing to your channel just because you don't monologue, don't have stupid music, and primarily because I expect the rest of your video's to be just as unique yet attainable by this amateur.
Your video skills are on another level!! Awesome! Hope to see you reach 1M subscribers.
That's just genius. Didn't know where you were going with this at first but as I saw the hinges and then the bearings it all came clear. Nice design.
Really clever. I’m a wood guy not a metal guy, but it was brilliant to see that come together. Same design but with a wooden bench top would be great in a woodwork shop :)
I think the best complement is that I built it! I did add one more component to it though - a removable wooden top for woodworking assembly.
You also made me feel better in my welding skills not being very attractive after viewing your welds.
I made the same top. 👍 Whenever you see a lighter colored benchtop, that's the welding table underneath.
Your doing a great job and well done on the camera work sir
I really liked your camera work (in addition to your build). All the different shots made it very entertaining
This could just be my new favorite YT channel.
Well, what can I say apart from… that’s a real treat! 😄
Well done buddy, awesome build with a snug fit for the top
Great video. Great quality, I can see perfectly what you are doing. You obviously put in effort with your videos.
Looks like you took a page out of This Old Tonys school of gorgeously and meticulously edited videos!
Absolutely great work sir!
More than Excellence .! I'm so Glad U finally started sharing Ur precious creative side with all of us.! Thank U so Much ..!! U will soon reach your goals here .! Just keep doing it , don't procrastinate , It will be Beautiful to have U in the Family of youtubers and creators Friends .
Hey there! First time visitor and glad to see you accomplished your goal of subscribers already. Liked your video, no nonsense, close ups of of tools in action. Althought I wouldn't necessarily build this particular mechanism, I've learned a few things watching. Subscribed! Thanks
This is by far the best mobile base that I have seen made ! VERY good work !! I am going to alter the design just slightly so that it will fit in between my contractor saw base legs but keep to your winning design elements meaning bearings and the cuts/welds. and Thank You !
I have built mine yesturday... works like a charm... thank you for inspiration... :) much respect...
Excellent work, Excellent idea, and you are very well organized, I like the way you plan your project. Thanks for your video.

That's an awesome way of doing it. But the thing I like best is the holes in the table top, would save so much time!
I can't believe you only have 17 thousand followers you do a lot of interesting and varied things.
I worked for a gymequipment manufacturer in London in the early '90s and we made some mobile folding basket ball hoops for a college, they had screwjacks to fold and raise the hoop and almost exactly the system you have used for the castors, to lock them down we had a latch like and old fashioned gate latch. It pivoted into a slot in the leg with a spring behind it, on the outside of the leg was a bolt that slid down and pivoted the latch into the leg until the pedal was above the latch.
not sure if that description makes sense but I'm sure you have an idea of what to do anyway.
Nice table, I want one.
This product looks exactly like what I have been needing in my small home shop. The wheel hack is quite handy as well!
That was a nice build. I would put some kind of lead screw mechanism on the lever to raise and lower it , but so far, a really solid design.
Always look forward to being notified of a new Wesley Treat video,a seriously underrated and under watched channel!! Great vid, look forward to the locking mechanisim upload 👏👍
Great video, your use of the bearings must have made a huge difference in lifting the table!
Amazing mechanism, a very simple and elegant way to solve the problem, great job!
Love the idea of using bolts as stoppers on the table and love the clamps welded to the bolts great idea, might do that in the future myself
I love all your work Wesley! Neat working, humble, you don't hide if you mess it, friendly and original, you have your "touch" in everything you make! Keep it up!! Cheers from Barcelona!
Super simple yet masterful, this has got to be the best way I've seen to do this yet.
Awesome build. You just created the MFT variant for welders. The retractable casters really are the trick.
Toss on a sheet of plywood on top and you also have a workbench for woodworking or other non- welding items. I don't even weld, but I gotta have one!
thanks for the idea ive been looking for something just like this to do on my big barrel bar bq, shes heavy!...........its a pain to move it on 2 wheels like a wheel barrow, this kicked me in the right direction. thanks! im subscribed
Great idea mate, thanks for sharing it. The internal castor design was exactly what I was searching for. The castors are cheaper not having a brake on them bonus. Im looking to create that system over 2.4 metres with 6 castors.
Congratulation for your design it is so simple and so ingenious. Keep your good work. I like the funny blooper you keep in your video, we feel more the same level.
Great idea! I’m making this on a 5x3 work table. Weights about 400 lbs.
beautiful, simple design and execution. Excellent for the shop that is always "too small". thanks.
Great design, I could apply to my heavy 8 foot workbench when fully loaded ( 500 lb approx)
Thanks for your video. Serge
The clamps for your table are brilliant
Got a video on those coming soon. Thanks!
Thank you very much for the idea! I made a cart for my Evolution chop saw. Works great! 👍
I put retractable (crank rolling) rolling wheels that go on trailers to raise and lower the hitch. that way my thick one inch thick tale and hydraulic press can be moved when I need the space.
I need a much bigger welding table, but that design could be scaled up with a few mods. Brilliant design, good video production, entertaining, and educational. I had to subscribe after seeing this.
this just simplified an idea of mine i was going to use on my 250lb vise table, thank you!
What a great welding table. Love the wheels lifting mechanism
Wesley, I love this build! I have something of a...fascination? Addiction? Obsession? With retracting or locking wheel systems for tables and carts. I think this is one of the least complicated and most stable ones I have seen to date. I may be borrowing this in the near future, I will hopefully be moving my shop next year and that will lead to several shop improvement videos. :P
Very elegant. I am going to copy this.
Very nice , I love the idea a bit long winded but still great and I see you have 20k plus subs , but all in all brilliant work mate , have a nice one
great table, really like the idea for holding down parts as you weld them
I've been thinking of doing something like this on a woodworking workbench. I have a small shop and this would be awesome to have something I could move around, but is stable. Thanks for the inspiration!
I have a cart planned with a similar mechanism. Stay tuned!
great mechanism

;D
Where did you get your welding table top from? Your videos are really cool! (From a n 82 year young putter er)
It's a CertiFlat table found here: weldtables.com/#_l_q0
.
@@104littleal6 thanks for the link! 👏👏
Very good idea. I have no room for it. Keep it up Bob
Very cool design... but only if you have a clean floor. Any material over 1/2" in height will keep those wheels from rolling, even an extension coord will stop them. I would do it with a minimum with 8" casters.
Brilliant design 👍👍👍👍
Very clever idea 💡 I’d suggest to follow weldingtipsandtricks you will benefit from Jody’s knowledge there to tune up your welding skills. Keep up the good work
nice film and good table build
Wonderfull mech idea. Great job!
Thank you for the video! Very clever, I've subscribed! This adaptation is the best idea I've seen, thus far. I'm new to welding and am having trouble maneuvering my welding cart in confined areas. So, I'd like to adapt a retractable caster(s) for the rear fixed wheel section of the cart.
Great build and beautiful video. Camera and lighting are fantastic.
You are a Master!!! Congratulations!!!
Great ideia! Awesome!!! It's just I need! Very very thankful! I'm your new fan!
Good job and great looking table
Good camera / editing. Moves along and stays interesting.
Awesome. Subscribed. Totally sold on a certiflat table and cooking up these legs for it.
Очень интересное решение! Получил удовольствие от просмотра. Когда дойдёт дело до сварочного стола подумаю и об этом. Лайк и подписка
Looking forward to part two
I binge-watched every one of your videos in one night. Great stuff!
Brilliant idea sir.
Now that's thinking outside of the box, I don't know about anyone else I never seen that done before
Thanks Wesley... You gave me a better idea
Nice idea! Not sure how i just found your channel, but Subscribed now!
That is a solid piece of work 👏 👌
PALMA D'ORO (GOLDEN PALM) for creativity and ability to represent all stages of processing!
Knowing that tools and/or bolts falls also to the others, makes you closer.... ;-)
I'm happy to be subscribed to your channel....
Greetings from Italy!!
The first video I've watched of yours and I am loving it already, I love seeing the whole concept or build without chatter every 10 seconds. instant sub from me.
couple of thing interesting build , I don't have cement floor my stuff would have to go with like trailer jacks , CRANK them pushing the wheels down , bigger air type tires...
*kinda kills the bottom shelf .....but still quite doable.....
I subbed....but as like always it's nice to have tools to build things with...you seem to have a few....lol thanks for making the video
Well done. It looks a Simple design but it is very well engineered and built beautifully. A bit too much of the tool noises in your vid for me but I guess the asmr loving types dig it.
You have me some great ideas for doing the same with my steel floor jack! I end up using mine in gravel with hardpan underneath, and it's getting old dragging that thing around! 🤣
Bruh you spat some mad nectar on this one my guy
Very nice. I made the exact same type of mechanism using wood for a band saw and a thickness planer. I think your came out better though.
Très bien pour une petite table, et simple de conception. 👌
GREAT Table!! Nice Job!
Exelent work .... Fantastic !!! Works very good
Love the awesome table
That is a brilliant design!
Nice work!
Ingenious! I will do something like it for telescope transportation. How about a servo mechanism to remote act the lever?
wonderful job, and design, I do most of my welding outside and this has me thinking on my next bench.
Pretty cool and straight design. I'll try to adopt it for my wooden moveable benches without welding :-)
Very cool stuff !! Slow down with that torch and clean your beads up and it will be perfect !! I’m definitely copying you though lol
Great video, love the vids that move along. Project and concept are slicker than owl doo !
Man that’s awesome. I’m going to have to keep this in my playlist so when I build mine I can look back.
Genius design. Thanks for sharing.
Dude, you made your clamps? So cool!!
I have to say I watched the video because it was just so well shot/produced and you do a wonderful job of explaining. I found your design WAY overkill. I don't have a better way to do what you're trying to do here but my gut says you're reinventing the wheel (no pun intended). We have the same welding table. I'm fine having paid for the OEM base/casters, I'm not a fan of having to lock/unlock each one individually.
Works for me. 🤷♂️
Wow!!!! What a guy!!! you are awesome!!! Thanks!!!
I love this design, but I have a question. Wouldn’t it have been easier to cut the tube (at the 5:00 minute mark) into a 45 degree angle? I’m new to this and would love to learn the reason behind that part of the design .
Very good my friend!!!
Use the left over bolt to pin the bar down?
very nice.... will make one just like that
Very clever. I need something like this for my monster table saw.
Clever mechanism. Subscribed!
nice work i have time looking how to do something like that for my tools cabinets i like your idea thanks for share it
This is brilliant. This video got me to subscribe.
L'americani so' forti!😊😊
Grande progetto !!! Complimenti!
