Later this year, Decathlon Brampton will open a 45,000 square foot store. offers sports programs and activities in-store to keep you moving and a workshop for bike maintenance, skate sharpening, ski waxing, and other tasks. The French sporting goods store Decathlon S.A. is pronounced [dekatl]. It is the largest sports goods retailer in the world, with more than 1,697 locations throughout 60 nations and regions (as of 2020).
The business partners with international suppliers, oversees internal research, design, production, logistics, and distribution of its products, and sells its own brands to customers directly in big-box stores using the Decathlon name.
Decathlon was first established by Michel Leclercq in 1976 with a store in Lille, France. Previously, Oxylane was the name of its holding company.
