I use cradles a lot. That’s a nice set up for a Bulldog choke.

How to make new friends at your academy in case wrist locks aren’t your cup of tea 🤣

I use wrist locks too, but I can't resist trying this since I get cradles all the time.

I've been doing cradle for about 3 month now, I'm a BJJ BB but older, it gives me instant tools for the bendy young guys. I'm studying catch wrestling now. It really opens up new possibilities

Do you know how many times I ended up having someone in a cradle position and I never noticed those submissions from that angle. Damn good knowledge.

I was always terrible at getting pins with half-nelsons in high school wrestling for whatever reason. Eventually one of my favorite strategies instead was to go for a takedown and then allow the guy to start back up and then I'd go for the far-side cradle.
Never thought of transferring that to my submission game before.
Never tried a bulldog choke before either but it's looks nasty

Whew, that is nasty! I love it. I get cradles all the time, but just use it to pass the guard or demoralize my grappling buddy. I will be using this!

This is awesome. I do have a question to put to the channel. What is "too hard" of a roll in training? I know not to jerk/power to finish but how do you taper explosive movement when you're given explosive in return? Rolling with fellow white belts & they don't hold back when they move but if I do it in return I feel like it's drastically different since I'm a bigger guy. Any advice, thanks.

  • @thomaskunz3089

i kinda liked this submission, very nasty, however i wonder, is it hard to ge the guy to turn away from me (from the seatbelt/backpack position, whne you are right behind him, as IF you were trying to get his back, but then you dont as you show in the video) very nice submission, gonna try it.
