Hi coming at ya a year later. A sequel for this movie has been announced earlier this year (2022) and is currently in production. It may not be released till 2023 so that’s when we should expect it. And it WILL have the tournament.

I don't understand why people are disappointed because the main character is replaced by a new one, even though the film should have adapted, modified and didn't follow the storyline like in the mortal kombat game.
