I just love the fact that the strong skills, with a big effect finally look the part. I don't like it if you have canonically strong spells, be it healing or damage, and they just look lame or impactless. That was my reason, why I downloaded most of your improvements. Just the fact that my Gravity II finally looks and feels stronger is such a satisfying thing.
All your mods are such excellent work, if you plan on making one I look forward to a reaper overhaul! Reaper is a pretty flashy class so I wonder how it could possibly be improved further but you always surprise!

Is there a reason Reaper is not on your list or is it just too difficult to pull off, sorry if I sound entitled not trying to be but I think my concern is Valid and im sure Reaper mains would like to know too
is there a way to remove the screenshaking from some of the modded attacks? I like it, but for some of the attacks you use constantly (like Dyskrasia or Toxikon), I get a little dizzy if it's constant Q_Q
Hello, is there a way to disable the screenshakes for some of those abilities? I noticed you like to add them but they easily trigger my motion sickness on repeated use which lowers my playtime before i start getting dizzy and that's a shame cause i really like those effects. Keep up the good work.
Download 'em as usual, and from there the easiest way to install these would be using Penumbra (through Dalamud/XIVLauncher) and you can choose individual skills you want to install or just install all the skills (all the files, obviously). That way in Penumbra you can also disable/enable these on the fly in case there's a time you don't want the new SFX/VFX enabled.
I've always been interested in your reworks.. My only issues with them is that I like to do higher end content and I wouldn't want any screen shake.. Is it an option or is it baked into the mod?
Papa I was just wondering if there were plans to edit vfx so that you can see the visual effects on party members receiving certain buffs? Like for SGE something for holos? It would be really helpful in seeing who's got the buff/when it falls off
I agree! That's something that always bothers me how visual buffs slowly but surely got removed from the game. And I dont mean having a visual for every buff/effect. For example no need to have a visual effect for shields, they would be too much since they would clutter the characters models and it's easy to see who has a shield on health bars anyway. But for others effect where looking at buffs can be tidius sometimes, that would help a LOT and be pretty cool to look at. For example : - An actual veil upon paladins head whenever they use veil aurora so as I a healer I can see that i need to heal now. - A dark aura around DRK when they use they invu, and the same for all tanks (WAR would be glowing red/orange, paladins would have a white aura and gunbreaker maybe some smog around them) - Maybe a red/burning effect on MCH weapons whenever they get into overheat mode - A little page surrounded by little green butterflies above the head when I use excog on my gunbreaker so they know they dont have to use theirs for the moment - Music notes floating around Bards so we dont have to look at buffs to be able to tell wich song is playing -... That would really improve that game QOL and look soo cool
I've done similar before, but I can't find a way to deeply bind the existence time of VFX and buff. The previous solution of fixing VFX duration the same as that of buff may cause misunderstanding in some cases.
yep,since SE gives new jobs much more love on their skills vfx,so I just mainly make some screenshake and new sound effect and a little new vfx for SAG. It is mainly to improve the sense of attack or combat feedback.

In fact, changing the time of damage text will not affect its actual effective time. You can find a Striking Dummy to try.
Looking at the HP bar of striking dummy, it will decrease the moment you press the skill.

I purposely lowered the BGM volume in the video, and you can balance the volume of SFX and BGM in the game yourself.

Considering their frequency of use, I don't think it's very suitable. And I didn't add screen vibration to the filling skills of other healing jobs.
It seems the 6.35 broke some of the FX, Dosis 2, Phlegma II and III do not work anymore.
