George was a worthy champion, well spoken, undamaged and always a smile from ear to ear. I think he is a great ambassador for boxing 👊.
George is always a good interview, he's matured a lot as a person. Really underrated too when all is said and done.

Ita not that he has matured he was in with some of the biggest domestic names through his career and had to speak up more to get noticed. Him and Kevin Mitchell had so much more talent that never came to fruition..

Yes he was a quality fighter. That right hand that he dropped Froch with (in front of 80k at Wembley...) was a genuine wallop. Amazed that Froch got up from that.

@@JuxtaPositionings Yep Froch had a chin on him but that right hand from Groves made his eyes go all glazed over as he went down. I think hitting the canvas probably woke him up again lol.
Always liked George. Rooted for him in both Froch fights, and his fight vs Eubank jr was the first PPV I ever actually bought. Great career and good guy 👍
Great character is our George,stayed humbled throughout his career and after,and really knows his boxing without talking crap like Johnny Nelson!

I sat next to him on a flight to new York after the first froch fight. He was such a nice guy, happy to share his time with us.
Always had respect for Groves he did things his own way , wasn’t a yes man , made some mistakes along the way but learnt from them and was always in a good fight. Anyone else notice his tatts have gone ?
He was robbed of his greatest victory, too.

George was a really good boxer in his prime. Unlucky with the first froch fight, and didn't cross the line on world titles to many times. But won one in the end and was great to watch. We didn't know what we had until it was gone.
If anyone wants to watch an older fight of George's which was an absolute tear up search his fight Vs hard as nails scot Kenny Anderson
A true champion. He was intresting to watch him grow as a man, he never gave up dispite the odd set back and he eventually became a world champion.
I think he looks (fairly) healthy. Obviously not in fighting shape but he doesn't look like Naz either. He could still get the better of the vast majority of us without even trying.
George's hair has had an amazing comeback
Miss watching George box, was always a cracking fighter. Really glad he managed to get the world title he deserved before bowing out.
He had one of of the best jabs/hooks I've ever seen carl frampton also had the same kind of jab/hook
George's story of defeat and then success has fans feeling so warm and proud if him and so imagine how he must have felt?
Glad to see her is getting some interesting chat going and seems happy, him and Froch were the beginning of this new era of grudge matches and stadiums filled regularly and it went further than those loses for Groves of course, that doesn't define him as he still become a great champion.
The older George gets the more I respect him. Looking happy and healthy these days, and in life that's all that matters.
George Groves has forgotten more about boxing than many experts will ever know! A class act, in and out of the ring. I also LOVE how him and Froch are now close friends. Groves should be a full time commentator for SkySports Boxing. He’s a level above. Legend!

George had the best jab in the business in my humble opinion.
Groves is quite rare in boxing, in that he seems genuinely happy in the early years of retirement. Much more to come from him it seems. Of course, at 34, he's still a boy!

Groves' split with Adam booth is a real shame. I used to love Groves' style back then, was like a mini David Haye. Whatever went on with them, and whoever was the the truly injured party, all that aside I think they worked as a boxing partnership. Groves was a smart and adaptable boxer, but no style fitted him better than Booth's

George has gotta be pushing 14 - 15 stone plus and still not overweight. He’s a seriously stocky guy. No wonder Eubank struggled against him.
