My gosh your garden and yard are absolutely beautiful!! My hubby and a friend are going to put a small ac unit in my shed so I can fire more during the summer as well as being comfortable while loading! I’m so thankful. Put an oscillating fan in front of the air conditioners! With all of those flowers I’d definitely be pressing a bunch in clay to make some molds!!! Those little trash cans for the raku are just adorable!!
@@JessicaPutnamPhillips So glad I could help. I lived in an old apartment with my two boys when they were babies and it didn’t have air conditioning. I got really creative with how to cool it down.
I love how you are apologizing to your garden. I am guilty of the same, would rather spend time in the studio. I don't have a green thumb, but I do have muddy fingers.
I call it chaos gardening! It's been stupid hot and humid in CT. Do I want to go out in that weather and tend to the garden or stay inside and play with clay? 🤔 Clay wins every time! 🤣
I love that term “chaos gardening” it’s just too hot to weed and now that I have ac in the studio chances are I will not get any weeding done this year.🤣
Loved this video thanks Jessica. Have you ever done a video on how to re glaze something that might have not been as nice as you liked. Iv got a couple of things that could do with re glazing yet I’m not sure how to do it, what prep you need to do. Also a video on how to store clay you have used n wedged to keep so you never throw any clay away like when it’s to dry and you re hydrate clay? ❤❤
I have talked about deglazing and have done it myself but I’m not sure if I’ve filmed a video on it. I’ll look through our thousands of tutorials and if not I’ll put it on my list to do!☺️
Thanks for all your tutorials and really good explanations ,you are so helpful.. Here in Oklahoma we call these 100 degree days august😅,but we expect it, I can’t imagine how tough it is when it’s not your normal. What’s the normal temperature for yall this time of year?
We have an app that you take a picture it tells you what it is and how to look after the plant or if it’s I’ll, worth looking into the app for your garden

Thanks for the suggestion of using a fan in front of the AC! I will be doing that today! ☺️

I am a terrible gardener but I do try… just not so much this year.😁
I feel for you...I'm headed to my sister's pool!
A pool would be heaven! Enjoy!☺️

You also can make syrup with the mullein flowers ,I don’t know the recipe but my friend’s mum always served it to us when we were children.
I didn’t know you could make syrup with the mullein flowers! I’ll have to look into. ☺️

Vermont usually has very mild summers mid-70’s with a few hot day(mid 80’s) but nothing like we’ve had this year.
Ithought maybe your big leaf plant was burdock but looks to pointed and not tall enough
I think it’s what is called a false rhubarb but I’m not sure. Either way it’s going to get made into some fabulous pottery!😁
