In hindsight... the tic-tac-toe thing obviously has three sides otherwise the game won't even work. Not sure why I didn't think of that in the moment. (I was tired I guess. That's my excuse.) Thanks so much for watching! Appreciate you. :)
You're supposed to turn the Yoshi after plugging him on. The launch mechanism spins around inside the base, so different buttons work depending on what position he's in.
@@gurvmlk Kinda. The peg is square so the orientation you plug him on doesn't matter too much. If you're not paying attention when you plug him on, it can make it "random enough" to get entire seconds of entertainment out of.

22:21 Mario' was simply just so proud of himself for being on camera today...only to tragically die, permanently frozen raising his broken hands:( a tragedy.
I think my favorite fast food toys growing up were either the Hot Wheels you could sometimes get from McDonalds or that one time Burger King gave away Z-Bots. Both of those are just regular toys from a fast food place, though, does that count?
3:55 I'm assuming the Yoshi toy is supposed to be like that Crocodile Dentist game (take turns pressing it's teeth until it bites you). I also assume that (since it shows it on the instructions) spinning the Yoshi after you put it in the launcher changes what button triggers it.
Actually, the counter to the tic tac toe corner strat is to go middle and then if they go to another corner, you just go to try and form a straight or top down row while also blocking them, that way they're forced to block you either way and you force a tie. If you go second, just don't do corners if they do. Easy. :)
2:09 Nedry! Our lives are at stake, and you have Plastic-Figures? (Originally Butterfingers) 2:44 And we’re out here! What I wanna know is where’s the caveman?
Austin, I doubt you'll ever see this, but i've been struggling with my ulcerative colitis lately, feeling sick all the time, and your videos bring me so much comfort. Seriously, never stop being you. thank you.
You know on the topic of Collab Toy reviews, I would love to see you and Brutalmoose do that Humongous Entertainment Dairy Queen toys from 2001. I know there would theres's probably a million things that could make a collaboration like that difficult but I can still dream.
I think I know why the hands looked so off. Imagine them the size that they are, but with his arms down at his sides. Oh, and I guess the palms look like the top of the hands, too, probably.
Most of these are pretty cool! The 3d molds are great, and the racing toy is pretty unique. The hockey game is so low quality compared to the others, tho! Overall, I think I'd be pretty happy with these toys as a kid, and that yoshi would look awesome on my desk!
the pokemon gold cards, in fairness, were an extra premium. Burger King did have some actual pokemon toys at the same time though, and they were pretty well done. We used to have the Mew, but it's since gone missing, along with most of our gold cards. Mcdonalds had VR Troopers toys at one point, and had at least four seperate transformers-related runs; Beast Wars, Beast Wars Transmetals, Beast Machines, and Armada. They even had a promo with yugioh too, where you got a handful of(admittedly useless competitively) cards, a little toy, and a CD that contained an activity and a sampler for the album Music to Duel By. They also earlier had deals for Sonic 3 and Mario 3. This one thinks Burger King occasionally had good deals other than pokemon too. Can't remember anything for certain thoguh. Oh, and Taco Bell, back when they had a kids meal, at one point had these little metal digimon cards that came in a digivice-shaped holder. The holder itself was composed of three pieces(top, bottom, and middle) so you could add multiple middle pieces for an infinitely scalable size. Oh, and iirc, Carls Jr. at one point had kirby toys. Think to tie into either Air Ride or Right Back At 'Cha. These are all just ones this one remembers, so there were probably a fair few others this one forgot or just wasn't interested in.
McDonald's was the only place you could get the Virtualizer, as far as I could ever tell. At least one that wasn't literally just a flat piece of plastic.
I think a lot of people had siblings so getting a fast food toy that two kids could play with was pretty hype. I think I read somewhere that average single child was in 1/5th of households so in most cases there's at least two kids.
You actually always win (or well, can't lose) tic-tac-toe if you start in the middle. Then you do a corner, and then a corner that you could connect to the previous corner by going horizontal or vertical. After that, you will win by either doing a diagonal or by connecting the two corners. The other person can't block you. So my advice is the opposite to yours - if you start, you'll always win by selecting middle.
I think, the reason Mario's hand's looked wrong, was because we're not used to seeing cartoon characters with 5 fingers... and after seeing that result, you can see why they rarely ever want to do all 5 fingers. lol
ohhh i got that Yoshi happy meal toy! you're suppose to rotate Yoshi within that platform thingy, that's suppose to change the button so it be random every time you play the game

You're supposed to turn the Yoshi after plugging him on. The launch mechanism spins around inside the base, so different buttons work depending on what position he's in.
But doesn't that mean you would always know which button is the right one based on its relation to Yoshi's facing?
