    Complete disassembly and reassembly of bolt from Kalashnikov rifle model 47 in 4K.
    Be aware the extractor is spring loaded so always hold it down.

    A calm and easy to understand gun disassembly video in 4k without crazy yapping? God, what have I done to deserve such a treat!?

    My AK had about fifteen light primer strikes in a row last week at the range. Used this video to take the bolt apart, thinking I needed to replace the firing pin… as soon as I pull it out, multiple circular shards of metal fall out of the bolt lol. No idea where they came from, but after a good cleaning she’s back to normal 😂 thanks for the help

      I just had the same thing, firing pin seized up on the range, wouldn't fire, took it apart and 2 small circular pieces of metal came out with the pin, no clue where they came from. It was a riley defence bolt.

      those two pieces may be from primer or small part of the bolt face... i suggest inspecting inegrity of the bolt even inside of the firing pin chamber

      @ManOnTheRange I did a bit of research and it sounds to me like it's what's known as "primer popping". It's when a primer is too soft and ruptures, sending a small piece of the primer into the firing pin hole. An issue mostly found on less expensive ammo, such as wolf and tula!

      @@RTX64385 exactly as i sad... if bolt looks intact then its from the primer and primers are the culprits most of the time but inspecting the bolt is always a good idea

    My extractor spring is mean af.
    It doesn’t let rounds glide in, it kinda bites onto them and then rips them out. Damaging the cartridges

    Excellent video. Great lighting, clear view of what is happening - but why the gloves?

      My guess is that, like in many manual labor jobs, prevents easily avoidable injuries (hand slips when pushing or beating something, softens impacts) and allows you to put more pressure on a single point of your halm (i.e. pusing on a pin).

    What's the name of the pin that looks like it goes through the firing pin. The second pin that he removes.

      that is just a firing pin retiner

    I tried using the punch that came with the rifle, but the pins won't come out. Does anyone have any suggestions other than buying a new bolt

    • @ManOnTheRange
      @ManOnTheRange  ปีที่แล้ว

      did you try io punch them from both sides of the bolt??? but if they are bad i think any gunsmith shop will have some new pins

    • @popdawg6536
      @popdawg6536 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't try it from both ends I thought the pins only come out from one side, I'll give it a try and respond back with the results

      @@ManOnTheRange Not really. There are important details that need to be spoken (the way you punch out the pins). The Brownells videos, for instance, are much better.

      sorry but if you dont like my videos (my channel is still just a hobby channel) then just watch brownells insted... but comparing channel with less then 4K subs to a channel with 250K subs is strange... and btw this video was released more then a year ago when i did have some 1.5-2K subs way before i started narrating my videos
