French is a melodic language and English isn’t. “C’est la fete” (It’s the party) wasn’t sung in the English version, it was changed to “Be our guest” because “C’est la fete” melodically sounds like “Be our guest.” “Say lah fet” is said in three syllables as is “Be our guest”.
