12 hours? Those are rookie numbers, pump those numbers up. I've spent about 2 weeks getting my current setup figured out. 593 mods and all working now.
For the new races that are dependent on Luci, there was a mod that went by recently that makes Luci a medical item. That way they will take it to fulfill their need instead of just dying while being surrounded by it. As has been my experience.
Another mod that tweaks some of the game's base xenotypes is Alpha Genes, mostly in the form of added cosmetics. Having wasters literally go full gaunt and ghoulish along with their base traits really emphasizes how fugly they are for all their perks. EDIT: Oops, he actually goes over Alpha Genes at the end. Whoops.
After seeing the sanguophage mod, hopefully someone would be encouraged to extend it or create an independent one with the Vampire: the masquerade clans and their unique characteristics. It would be an arduous task, but dreaming is free and the community of modders of this game are titans 😄
I think a good mod to cover would be mantodeans, its still in development but its a really good race mod. Essentially inseft people with a biological analouge to every form of tech from neolothic to spacer
I would also like to recommend the Rotfish xenotype mod. It adds rotgas spewing fish people to the gameand is pretty similar in quality to the VE mods.
Lol genies. Took a genie as a slave on my Sanguophage playthrough. Didn't brand her, the only restriction was she couldn't eat chocolate. All was fine for 2 years, then she sprung an escape attempt. Walked past the front door and into the dining room, grabbed a gun off a shelf, then shot at my sanguophage's daughter (she ran into the freezer to flee) before backing up into the corridor again. My sanguophage just woke up from a deathrest and was on her way to eat when I clicked to draft, which stopped her right on the other side of a door from the corridor the genie was in. I clicked to engage in melee, the sanguophage swung the doors open, tanked a .45 to the chest, then sliced off the genie's right hand (disarming her) before punching her to the ground. A slave revolt is one thing, but she shot at my sanguophage's 13yo daughter, so I branded the genie as a slave and threw her in a granite block cell. Harvested a kidney, a lung, an eye, cut out her tongue, then amputated the other arm before releasing her on the first snowy day that winter. Unfortunately, the genie was the only one keeping the settlement clean and was doing most of the cooking. Then I didn't realize it was my only slave, so no more blood bags, so I had to send a raiding part out.
The Biotech style xeno mods are some of my favourites. In setting they're the other half of the adaptation to the Rim. Not just terraforming, but bioforming as well. Wasters, Impids, and Ytakin are brilliant examples of the concept. Biotech Expansion - Mythic, and Biotech Expansion -Mammalia have some cool xenotypes too. Clearly the progenitor furries had a blast.
I appreciate, respect and love the work done by erdelf for the wonderful humanoid alien races mod. But damn is it nice to see races using the biotech system.
bro, a ritual sent me like a six-year-old Uhlan kid this run, and they are INSANE. solo-tanked a small mech cluster while she shot the cell -> one-tapped it. strigoi vampire attacked her, and she downed it with the butt of her gun. she turned thirteen, so I've been sending her out tomb raiding for luci [and hopefully free marine armor]
I like how with biotech, you can have a lot of the modded races baseline, with only needing to import their unique hair/body styles into the game. No more moon jellies curing their own super regeneration...
I can't get enough of custom races in the Rim. Looking for a race I can snowball with. Shoutout to RedMattis for adding some sweet unique races including Slimes with variations and a vampire off shout that spreads vampirism when feeding.
I am not big rimworld player but i always play with these race mods. additional mods are medival overhaul to spice early game up, research mod (the one which force you to get samples), semi-random research and no more riceworld (simple but one of the best mods cause i always thought that addjng new crops to the game did nothing. Unfortunately this mods doesn't work on 1.5 though, i miss you)
2:00 Wouldn't it be better (more funny) if they went into a state of hibernation in a colder temperature when they stayed in it for a long time??? (and perhaps the lower the temperature they are in, the slower they would be)
I like the new xenotypes but I'm really just waiting for a mod that adds a grab bag of functional and cosmetic genes for me to make my own xenotype. Making a new race has limited creativity with the standard genes at the moment.
There's a few dozen gene and race mods out there that use Biotech's systems. When you combine them all...... You get some pretty extensive stuff. From plant people to dragon people to fox people, from sexuality genes to immortality genes to genes that make pawns sweat out chemfuel, and absolutely everything in between. But seriously, they already exist, just across quite a few different mods. Considering anyone with a half decent gaming PC can run 500+ mods no problem..... Especially when they're smaller scale like gene mods...
I installed the "androids" mod, added romance core (actual romance core in mod. Like robobrain) and let him wreck the colony for 4 days. After he cucked my favourite pawn (we all have that one) THREE FRIGGIN TIMES IN TWO DAYS (also screwed his sister once) I thought: wow. I'm gonna nuke my colony right now. No NTR allowed.
Where is chinchilla mod? Very disappointing rim world 😢 - edit: I started a new game immediately after this comment , but Randy decided to give me a surprise. Literally 5 minutes in and I got hit with a massive chinchilla horde and drop pod raid. I have no words only laughs- and dead colonists
You were mispronouncing Hussar constantly which was driving me crazy. The first paragraph is pronounced more like "who" than "Hus". I don't have my dictionary in front of me, but usually I have heard that word pronounced more that "who sar" than the "huss er" you were using.

yes
So is Waster Expanded, and the whole Android mod currently in work that takes a spin with the gene mechanics.
@@gratuitouslurking8610 it's all good mod, but what i'm after is warwalker expanded
Such a shame that they are going to put a shitty"meme" idea into the Highmate Expanded mod. At least cherrypicker can probably just remove it.

Quick question, do your custom xenotypes show up in your playthrough? Like through random colonists, or do you only start with them
Side note, Xenobiology adds 40k Races like the Orks
was hoping this would mention a few of the races outside of vanilla expansion, like orassans who have an entire tech tree.
