This is great! I was anticipating this since I asked you about paper texture and tooth, etc. a number of weeks ago and you replied you had a session in the works. Very enlightening, thank you very much!

Great coverage on some popular papers. One does like to get the best performance for their money. I am certainly not trying to invalidate complaints one might have I haven’t really had terrible issues with the more popular brands. If they take the wc well I have found that they usually can handle even a bit of mistreatment and be forgiving. I have seen that the bulk rides on one’s experience to perhaps correct a technique unless there happened to be an unusual flaw from the manufacturer. I think the Saunders Waterford should be fine too. Thanks!😊

Thanks for the comment, good point. I tried the Saunders but just didn't click for me. Cheers

I have always used Arches hot press. Thank you for this I will try the Fabriano hot press for cp!
I have used all of these papers for watercolor, and have to say I have found the Stonehenge to be very fragile in comparison to the other professional brands. Great review! Thank you!

Right, I did notice it, and I did a test on the paper in several lighting situations areas to see what was happening as I did want to talk about it. What I found was that the lines you're seeing are being affected and exaggerated by the lights on the subject during the film process. When I tested it without lights the lines are so minimal and completely disappeared. and that it was not a major part of the overall assessment and the finished work. When away from those lights the lines don't show. Weird, but there you go, good eye. Cheers

@@Drawingwithcolour actually, i have used this paper myself and really disliked the texture. I didn't notice it on your video. I mostly use Stonehenge and Derwent Lightfast papers.
