I’ve never purged but I use to eat my feelings . This was a tear jerker to see such compassion .

Really, I'm overweight and I've NEVER had anyone have an issue hearing my heartbeat or breaths through the stethoscope and I've had checks in the last few months

It's not healthy dieting isn't the only thing you need to do exercise that's the important part. There's thousands of things people don't look past Let's name a few height how attractive you are and many more so if your weight is your only issue you're lucky and need to stop complaining because you can fix that.

The mentality that of people now a days is so counter productive. Instead of saying the world is against you because you’re fat, or gay, or in the wrong body, you need to say how can I make better choices to improve my life.
The world is not a fair place stop pretending it is, if everyone was overweight then the world would be set up for overweight people, you are the exception not the rule. Time to change yourself and better yourself.

@strawberrybunnie4422 well, to be fair, in the beginning of the short she blamed the world for not "being made for her size" and when the doc mentioned her large BMI she says "he meant to insult me"(however, even though this is an obvious cut in the true episode so let's just take it at face value).
Then the doctors point out that she's purging. And she admits she's tried everything to - CHANGE- which, to me, indicate she knows there's issues with her size.
While I don't agree with the OPs targeting of someone's sexual orientation being something you can change, as far as weight and body dismorphia are concerned there are positive changes one can make and negative ones. I can't deny the OPs message that the world shouldn't change for you. That is a very dangerous and selfish mindset to have.

@@zaritcor1668 she never blamed the world for not being made for her size, ashe simply sid that it wasn't. And the doctors and nurses had been making comments about her weight *literally* all day, not to mention the fact that overweight people have a harder time getting diagnosed with anything because the doctor's always default to "well it's because you're overweight" without actually trying to help solve anything for the patient. The direct quote from the original commenters last sentence is "Time to change yourself and better yourself." which is a stupid and redundant thing to say when in the short it's literally shown that she's trying to change by, as she mentioned, trying every diet she could think of, and even resorting to bulimia

"I've been dieting all my life" A woman of this size needs about 2600kcal to even sustain that size, let alone GAIN weight. Don't believe a second of it when I hear that

I'm 300 lbs and a nurse. I went to a dietitian for help and measured every scrap of food put in my body. Could not lose weight. I walk about 12,000 steps a day. Accused of lying on my food diary. Tried ozempic and lost 4 lbs in a year. Gave up on modern medicine. Currently working on a carnivore diet. Eating about 2,500 calories a day and losing inches. I've not weighed and don't plan to until I'm 100 days in. Not everyone is a one size fits all diet.

Me either. Portion control and limiting caloric intake plus even moderate exercise like walking could shed pounds. Most people that are that big though want instant results and when they don’t get them they get upset.

They are finding that losing weight isn't as easy for everyone as upping the exercise and living off of salad. There are generic components, and there is a correct way to lower caloric intake based on current caloric needs without putting the body into starvation mode, like most inexperienced or uneducated people do. That's why it's important to do this with the guidance of professionally trained and licensed individuals, not some random influencer or Google search. Genetic testing is also now being advised for those who are morbidly obese but unable to lose weight despite following specific guidelines. She may need 2600kcal for basic function, but if she's tried restricting to 1000 or even 1200 like most diet apps say, she's put her body into starvation mode and won't see results
