Dropped my Daughter off at OSU this past fall for her Freshman year. Her one and only Bedlam was this and she was on field after the game right where they were pulling down the goalpost they threw in the campus pond
I watched this one hoping the Cowboys would give them a big surprise. Roll Tide and they did. Great game.

@@WolvesAtYourDoorthere were a bunch of non-calls that should have been called on OU too. Bad calls happen. But if you play yourself into a corner where those calls matter too much, that’s kind of on you. Brent shot his team in the foot by acting like an idiot.
The refs were the big surprise. That was actually the worst p.i. no call i have ever seen. EVER, no exceptions.

The blokes should react to "Conference Realignment" for college football. Basically, over the last few years, 2 super conferences are forming: The Southeast Conference (SEC) and the Big-Ten. The fears from European soccer fans of the Super League are occurring in real time in American college football. The regional conferences are being consolidated. It has already dissolved a conference, the Pacific 12 (Pac -12) and the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is next.
Big12 goes down before the ACC imo. ACC still has 2 decently big brands. What’s the big12s biggest brand next year? BYU? 😂😂😂

There's no rule preventing these teams from playing every year, but there is no matchup scheduled, and schedules are made years in advance. Plenty of teams have rivals from other leagues like Florida vs Florida State and Georgia vs Georgia Tech.

I was at this game, and it was insane!! Pokes take the final Bedlam. Sooners flew to close to the sun. Trophy is staying in Stillwater
within the past three years, okstate has won twice: this year and 2021. i'm excited for my pokes moving forward!!

The 2021 Bedlam game was the best! That was my favorite Bedlam game!!
I am a lifelong Oklahoma State University fan and was a student in the early 2000's. This was a really good game, and the last for awhile at least. Oklahoma State already has their out of Conference scheduled through early to mid 2030's. Since University of Oklahoma will soon be out of conference, Oklahoma State does not have open slots in our schedule for the game to fit into. Either we will have to wait for the next round of out of conference games to be scheduled and for University of Oklahoma to also have an opening on their schedule or we will only see them in bowl games for the near foreseeable future.
They won in Stillwater two years ago, but that was only the 19th time in 116 years. Yesterday was the 20th time they've won in 118 years and that is the last one for at least 10 years as their non-conference schedules are set through 2034 and such. They are about 80 miles or 130 kilometers apart
that same game also had a huge missed dpi in the endzone that gave osu the win....

@@BWen3 not just with the huge missed DPI, but the last osu td drive wwere they called the osu wr running over the db dpi instead of opi, calling bv for a pf after he called out their shit so they got 30 free yards, then at the goaline they called dpi on a uncatchable ball that sailed 12ft over the wr head into the stands. and thats not even getting into the fake injuries, theres literally a video showing an osu player start faking an injury till he saw a flag was already out

At about 4:20 the camera did switch, but also the teams change directions for each quarter.

Bedlam could continue but schedule wise it doesn't make much since. Teams have to play 9 conference games, which leaves three no-conference. Most schools want these to be smaller, easier to beat schools (often called cupcakes). There's usually one of those that're a larger school, and sometimes these are even in-state rivals (Florida plays Florida State and South Carolina plays Clemson). However, the OSU administration don't want to schedule a loss.

Seems like a lot of money but to play a game that brings in an average of $2.5 million to Oklahoma state every year it’s a no brainer. They would make it happen if they wanted to. I'm a first year student at OSU after transferring, and I've been a fan my whole life since my parents also went to OSU. Easily the most euphoric moment of my entire life as an OSU fan.

When the Big East Conference broke up it killed alot of rivalries like this one.
Mainly the Backyard Brawl-
WVU vs Pitt. Played from From 1895-2011.
It was resumed in 2022 and is still going thankfully. Even though WVU is in the Big 12 and Pitt is in the ACC.
So the rivalry can be revived but is tricky and both schools have to want to work out the schedule.
Last win for OSU - 2021 . It's the "last bedlam" for the time being. We could play each other in a post season bowl game, or down the road we could schedule them in a out of conference game, but our schedule is booked for the next 10 years. So if our admin (OSU) really wants to play them again it will have to be 10+ years from now.
OSU ain’t tryna play OU anymore lol. They got the last win. They finally actually have something to brag about in the “rivalry” for once no matter how small it is. Why would they risk that? OSU has the most losses in FBS history to 1 team. I don’t see them even considering scheduling OU until someone else takes that record in 30-40ish years

I was at the game. I’ve been an Oklahoma State fan my whole life. We usually lose to OU every year and the fans are a real cocky bunch. Winning this game was the most poetic thing that could have happened. This was David beating Goliath.

South Carolina plays in the SEC and still plays their in-state rival Clemson every year. Fans of both schools might riot if they didn't meet every year, but it's also a tremendous burden because Carolina already has the toughest schedule in the country every year in the SEC and still end up playing perennial powerhouse Clemson in their out-of-conference finale.
After the SEC is completely formed they are not going to play any games out of conference. Bedlam is over, if not next season, soon.
@officeblokedazsportsediton what you’re witnessing is one of the better American college football rivalries , Oklahoma university Sooners ( located in Norman , Oklahoma wearing red and white ) and oklahoma state university cowboys ( located in Stillwater , Oklahoma wearing orange and black ) were in the big12 conference, the reason why this is so big is bcoz much like an ultra ( the British version of a rivalry such as Manchester United and Manchester city) , these two teams are close in proximity is 22 miles DONT LIKE EACH OTHER and have bad blood , the reason it will probably be delayed next year is bcoz Oklahoma will switch conferences from the big12 ( the twelve biggest schools in the southern United States ) to the SEC ( the biggest schools in the southeastern United States ) which brings me to this the iron bowl ( which you reviewed last week, the game between the university of Alabama and auburn university also s known as 128 miles of hate aptly named bcoz Alabama is the highest producer of iron in the country ) is happening this weekend ( it’s usually the last week of November )

Comparing bedlam to these rivalries is laughable. OUs biggest rival is texas always has been always will be. None of those rivalries you listed are a 2nd-3rd tier(most OU fans still consider Nebraska more of a rival) rivalry to one of the fanbases lol
The last time they won was in 2021 at home. OU dominated the series for a long time but in there have been a lot more OSU wins than they used to have since the early 90s.

They can, and probably will still play each other. Most teams still has about 4 games or so out of Conference. Such as Georgia and Georgia Tech play every year, but not in the same Conference. Aden you may want to watch the Georgia Florida game, from last week. It is a big rivals game played every year at a neutral site. Aden I think you picked Florida as your team.
but in the now reality of super conferences with 20-30 teams in each conference, I just don't see how teams will be able to schedule out-of-conference games anymore.
Those rivalries are actual rivalries though. OUs actual rival is Texas. Their second rival historically is Nebraska. OSU is just some team we beat up on 9 times out of 10 🤷♂️🤷♂️

In college football there are divisions and conference. Every college football video you have watched so far, all the teams are in the same division. They are division 1 fbs the highest division there is. In those divisions you have conferences. There’s 10 conferences but can be divided into two groups. There’s the power 5 and the group of 5. Everything you have seen so far are in the power 5 conferences. I’ll stop right there because it’s going to get really confusing
Just be aware....this will only be the "last" bedlam game as long as osu refuses to schedule with OU to be an out of conference game. It goes in their favor not to schedule OU as an out of conference game seeing that they've only won 20 games in the 100+ year history of the game. That being said, OU should not have turned the ball over as much, and the refs really should have called a fair game. You can overcome one of those but not both of those. osu falls back on the "we're booked" excuse, but we all know, money talks and they could force an opening for it.

they didnt show in the highlight video of a missed DPI call completely screwing over Oklahoma before ther last field goal, even the Rules anaylist on the tv had no idea why the refs didnt call it, it would have given ou a 1st and goal at the 2 yard line which would have let them take the lead
Stop crying. Your team shouldn’t always depend on a bad call to win, that really shows what team you guys are. And to be honest college foot ball always has bad calls on both teams. So to say the refs won the game is a lie and a excuse for bad playing by OU. OU simply could not pull thru against the much better OSU football team. It's the last time they play because of OU leaving the conference. It's OSU's biggest rival, but not OU's. 117 times it's been played before yesterday and OU has won 91 times. Hardly an equal match so it's always special if OSU can spring an upset, and doing it here means forever bragging rights. I'd never play them again if I was OSU :)....I don't really like either team having lived between the two schools for a while but I'm so happy OU is out of the playoffs yet again....
