Very nice review and it has me wanting to give Ghost golf bags a try!! I really like the looks of the black Katana and Ronin bags.
I have the katana and the Oreo and like to switch between them. Sometimes it’s easier to buy them both instead of deciding which ones your favorite! Had a vessel player 3 and the ghost puts it to shame hands down! Best stand bag ever made. I will say vessel makes the best staff bags in the industry as I have 5 of their staff bags. ⛳️🤙🏼🙂
What is the function of that little black loop at the bottom of the bag?
Hook on your keys, or accessories. They also have a pouch that can clip on there.
@@modrngolf Thanks so much for the quick response! But I don’t mean the one at the top. I mean the one at the base towards the legs. You can see it at 3:50 on your video
@@marjoriehallett8648 it’s to keep the legs from moving forward. If you don’t use the bag as a “stand” bag and just as a cart bag or if you use a trolley or pull cart.
@@marjoriehallett8648or that tiny little loop is for the point of an umbrella to fit into. Thanks.
@@modrngolf Ah, that makes sense. Thank you so much! I just bought it and not knowing would have driven me crazy
Grateful for your reviews of this and the Vessel Player 4! I am looking to upgrade and cannot decide between the Ghost bag, the Player 3 or the Player 4. If you had to pick between the 3, what would you choose? I’m including the Player 3 because in my eyes the upgrade between the 3 and 4 is not very big.
I can get 20% off the Ghost bag until June 5th and Vessel offers a 10% off your first order so this is a tough choice. The Ghost is the better decision financially, but I’m afraid that I’ll get it and regret not getting the Vessel.
@@modrngolf I usually ride. Last week, I walked for the first time and actually enjoyed it so I may be doing more walking (with a push cart) going forward.
@@sunnygrey3023 - They are all really good- you would be happy to have either brand.
Finally a great review of this bag. Im still in between on this or a Vessel bag. What do you think? I definitely want a 14 way. Thanks!
Excellent review, appreciate the honest assessment of pros and cons. Awesome looking bag and I’m now leaning to it over the Vessel P4!
How are the clubs going in and out of the bag. Do they get jammed at all?
Just realized this have no cart strap pass through that’s such a deal breaker for me I always ride. Sucks I really wanted this bag to
@@TypicalAllstar - get a cart strap for $10 and it will keep the bag looking new forever.
@@modrngolf I never knew they made a separate thing for that. I just saw the ones on ghosts website. Bag just keeps getting better looking with the more I look at it. Thanks for telling me that!
@@TypicalAllstar I have a strap protector that I picked up on Amazon for $6. It’s actually a seat belt strap and functions perfectly as a golf bag strap protector. If I switch bags and forget it at home, I wrap the cart strap with one of my extra golf towels to keep the bags protected
I just bought the same bag, rain jacket and pants will fit in one of the big pockets with gloves just fine. I overstuffed my last nice bag a broke the zippers and really ended up not needing everything I stuffed in there ever…. All the zippers except for the ball and magnet pockets seem to be the water resistant type. I personally bought the Ghost pouch to hold my tees, Ball markers & divot tools which I keep in one of the side beverage pockets. It seems like a nice bag, I hope it stays clean……
Congrats. I don’t disagree- once I removed the rain cover, I fit all my stuff into it. We are giving one away! Thanks again.
I’m a gear head. Fortunate enough to switch around tons of gear including bags. My wife once bet me $500 that I couldn’t go a year without buying ( another )new bag. I lost. Currently hoisting a Mizuno BR-D4. Good rig. One of the better offerings out there imo… but I’m partial to Mizuno.
I love this bag and plan on purchasing one next spring. I think the long apparel pockets on most every bag is a waste. Everything sinks to bottom. These side pockets are much better. Also, lots of the larger hybrid bags have a big insulated pocket. I find that to be a waste. I’m not going mountain climbing or camping. I’m playing golf. Give me a sleeve or two for water bottles not a lunch pail!
For the reviewer get a couple of small zippered organizational bags to put lotion ect in and buy travel size!
As an avid retired golfer with a severe back and leg issue; this bag weight is unbelievable great with Options only on big bags. This would side my need to walk the course again.
It’s a great bag- for sure. I’m jealous of the retired part. How often do you play?
Getting one for sure, haven't decided between Ronin (black) or the Oreo. Looks amazing
Oooh. Good choices. I am partial to the Oreo- but they all look amazing. Let us know what you pick up.
Absolutely fantastic review. I would load one pocket with a bottle of Aventus and the other with Greeley 🎉⛳️
Nice review! Entered the giveaway! Fingers crossed!
Looks like a solid bag for a cart or walking a round. Would be sweet to have and show off on the course! Looking forward to the giveaway announcement!
Great Review! Bag looks great
@@modrngolf do you like this or the vessel bags better? Can’t decide which one to get
That "vent" hole is for water drainage
If it had a large pocket and an additional hook up top, id get it. Needs at least that large pocket though
Love me some Man City!!!! Bag is really good- but I too would like to see a larger pocket.
Sweet!
Love!
I need this bag !!!!!!
It's for sure made by Vessel. Great looking bag though.
@@modrngolf Just a hunch. I have the Player 2 and the little details like the towel holder with the velcro, the front pocket with the removable front flap, the placement of the bag handle and name badge. Very similar. I'd be shocked if Vessel was not making it for them.
@@SLCHomie i would definitely consider option 3.....some other bag maker is making bags for both vessel, ghost, and probably stitch.
Would be cool if the 14 way was in stock
@@Chewing91 was told very soon- this week. They arrive every ten days. Thanks.
Bag tag is cool can also use as a putting disc
Definitely needs a small pocket for tees.
@@modrngolf that works. My PXG bag has a pocket on the ball pouch that I use for tees. I keep other stuff in the mag pocket. I actually really like the PXG bag, except it’s not a q4 way top.
I bought an Oreo for myself after Christmas after reading all of the reviews. It's a (heavy) stand bag, not a cart bag. They layout isn't conducive to a push cart or riding. It doesn't have a enough storage. It's pure style over function. But their marketing team is top notch. They spam social media and YT and get your attention. I want to vomit for wasting hundreds of dollars on this bag. I'll be going back to my old C-130. Lesson learned and $350 down the toilet.
The C-130 is a true cart bag whereas the Ghost is a hybrid bag. They both weigh about the same- but the ghost has premium materials which adds weight. 99.9% of people love their Ghost bag. I have them and enjoy them a ton- I’ve carried, used a pull cart and a gas powered cart and it’s worked flawless. What sort of issues are you having?
Severely overpriced..... Excellent bags out there at half this price..
Too many “ghost golf” logos…I feel like I couldn’t be taken serious with this bag. I’d much rather go with a vessel 🔥
😍😍😍
Herm, great review. I like the gray, yellow combo.
