I had preauricular sinus & i went thro surgery to remove it when i was 8years old. But it was unsuccessful. But after that now i am 24 years old, that my sinus got infected. So i went to local hospital & doctor did an incision surgery to let out the pus & gave me antibiotics. But it didnt work. I had dressing for one month & he then thought of giving me stitches on that area but again after giving me stitches infection came up. As a result he did another incision. N i do still go for dressing. Its one & half month running. He didnt remove it totally cause he says he is confused where the pus actually coming from. He said- when the first surgery goes wrong, its very critical to find out the cyst inside to remove it. So he is not doing that totally removal surgery. Here it hurts alot im mentally feeling so bad. I dont know what to do either. 😞
Get pus culture and sensitivity done and take appropriate antibiotics. Get MRI done if branchial cyst is suspected When infection settles down need to operate again and remove the complete tract and small part of ear cartilage
