? Grants use a horsehair foam mix just like the everlast Mx gloves (maidana’s gloves) and MANY people use cleto Reyes pro’s which are strait horsehair they only don’t seem soft because they have stiff leather, the Mx only seem insanely soft because of the leather they use
I hurts my hands when I used MX’s for training, no issues with the Reyes even when I punched an elbow during body shield work. 4th metacarpal was swollen for a week but if I had Mx gloves I would’ve probably broke it.

@@nickcaesar7650 you feel nothing but gauze and wrap bro, and if someone punches hard it feels like bare knuckles. Very dangerous model of gloves, idk why they’re still legal. They’re knock off Reyes gloves tbh.
@@MaybachSniper bro getting hit it’s honestly the same from the Reyes cause after about a round they completely fallen out to nothing, and for pain I’ve had the Reyes and used the mx, both absolutely fucked my hands but the mx was more “air out” kinda, but I actually found that after a couple rounds the Reyes became worse because they literally became completely flat over my big knuckles whereas the mx keeps its “poof” maybe cause of the small amount of foam idk
@@krishanattri9305 fair assessment, however from my experience my Reyes stayed pretty true to form and had more memory than the Mx were they completely went flat on me. I totally agree I’d never use either of these gloves, because I’d probably break my hands again. I’ll stick to my grants or wouldn’t mind the rival boxers. Winning are obviously always a great choice

The standard should be that one fighter is not allowed to dictate what gloves the other fighter can wear. Also I think foam gloves should only be used for sparing.
Try getting caught cheating on a job application or a college entrance exam and then telling them you are now going to submit another one of your own choosing instead. Let us all know how that works out for you. Same as one fighter cannot tell one fighter the gloves he is going to wear the other cannot tell him what gloves he's going to wear especially if he's caught trying to cheat as they were deemed illegal. They’re an approved model because they’re everlast, Floyd like many other people don’t believe they should be legal as they’re a straight horsehair puncher gloves (full horse hair little to no protective foam) so he paid Maidana 1.5 million to use a different model since Robert said no Mx gloves no fight. Smart move on Robert, no way Floyd was going to pass 50 million for 1.5

Or maybe the hard you punch the bigger risk of breaking your hand on an opponent's face. Why do you think the biggest punchers are switching to grants or rivals? Even Wilder switched to powerlocks because he fractured his hand.

i love how everlast mx fit, but they are insane they have no padding. the trainers are great gloves but the fight glove is horrible and should be illegal, the rival guerrero lde is the best balanced glove i have ever used, i hate the liner but everything else is great

Absolutely loved those gloves. Perfect fit and horse hair under the latex foam in the knuckle area.
Punchers glove is the dumbest thing i hated hearing in 20yrs of boxing, those gloves are shiii. When i fought someone or sparred someone with a punchers glove i just knew they lacked technique n confidence

Russ is somewhat of a hypocrite, David Lemieux used MX gloves on multiple occasions.
Im sorry Orly, but during the time I was handling Lemieux, which was from the time Lemieux was 9 years old up to and including the Rubio fight, Lemieux NEVER used MX gloves. Anything after that was out of my control.
