SCP 2419, Laughing Men is honestly one of my favorite ones and reminds of the hitchhiker in a way. A monster created because someone was trying to take a shortcut or promote themselves.

These is the kind of scp not meant to be covered for a 10 minute animation. It is long, complex and have a lot of branching stories and chapters with link to other scps and it's also part of tales story.
These is the kind of scp that The exploring series should cover and it will be more in depth.

the author of this fic did a great job blending Lovecraftian lore with the lore of the Kaiju
Seemed more derivative than collaborative at times. But it could just be lost in translation from the author, to storyboard animation. Just outright took the concept of the great old ones, the Great Dreamers, even the Color From OuterSpace. Lovecraft would welcome all additions, but at times this felt more like a rehashing than it did an addition. Every concept in it was from Lovecraftian lore, but with different titles added. But maybe I'm just old and bitter, ignore me an enjoy your fan fiction.

I've watched this channel for a while but I just noticed how far the animation has come. I'm only 0:21 in and that intro was pretty. Anyway, for next video you should do the entire Pitch Haven canon.
Also, when you realized that you narrated "journey entries" instead of "journal entries", did you just decide it basically worked well enough and ran with it? That's my assumption since the subtitle also says "journey". If so, that's kinda amazing.

Plumed is "ploomed", not plumbed. It means feathered. After the third "plumbed" I just had to fall into teacher mode. Think of it as a manifestation of the feathered serpent Quetzacoatl. Plumed fits that description.
You are not alone. I had the same reaction you did and I concur that said plumed serpent is likely a version of Quetzalcoatl or Kukulkan.
