I would include the 890j for the same reasons as stated with the Carrack. The MSR, 600i, 400i and Connies also will be good in Pyro. I have been testing the 600i and MSR using an XL-1. Starting and ending at ArcCorp and going to all 3 Jump Point Stations to get a feel for how the ships will do regarding fuel. The MSR was able to make the entire loop and even stopped at MT to sell some cargo. At the end I had about 20% of the QF left. The 600i explorer I made no extra stops and had to refuel and Magnus. Once back at AC I has about 5% QF left.
Those are excellent choices and I agree completely with the 890J! While you may get bullied a little by jealous Pyro pirates, it has a ton of amenities, range and defenses to go the distance!
Bro I got so happy seeing defender in the list. It's such an underdog. It's been my daily fly and when going PvP it slaps with 4x3. Knowing how to put the ships thin profile against the enemy and it's nearly impossible to hit. And I've been saying for years that it has the best atmo flight in the game I'm so happy to hear this hehe No other does those sharp turns in high velocity and high G like the defender. Great video man. Loved your philosophical approach. Great script.
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed this list! And the Defender is such a sleeper, I'm shocked more people don't use it; its literally one of the best ships in the game! Until they do, at least you and I will be enjoying it to the fullest!
The Starfarer would definitely make a great addition to this list, and honestly could replace either #4 or #5! I just don't enjoy flying one enough to consider it more!
The only real nr. 1 is the Reclaimer. Long range, awesome crew amenities (if you're not afraid of bed bugs and tetanos) drones to spy..... to survey I mean, it's an armored tank armed like a flying forteress, and it can explore the wrecks of all those poor sould who came exploring in a C2 and were caught by those exploring in a Corsair or Retaliator!
I could not give her a name using a name token if that’s what you are asking. But if you mean call it using a terminal, I didn’t do that either. Haven’t been playing much 3.20
Wanted to make my own list and realized I only had one ship I would switch out personally. Defender for either a Caterpillar or MSR. Based on current flyable ships this is an excellent list.
I'm glad you felt similarly! And I think the Cat/MSR could be swapped but I'd take them over the Corsair if anything; I just love the easy atmospheric agility of the Defender too much!
Best ship in Pyro imo is the Hercules A2. Highest qt fuel in the game, more firepower than a Redeemer, two large shield generators, very maneuverable, over 200 SCU cargo space and room for vehicles, survives hits better than the Redeemer atm and can drop bombs on derelict sites to eliminate players on the ground who might be waiting for you.
I agree, and think the A2 should have taken the C2's place on this list! The ability to drop a MOAB alone is worth consideration, but the Hercules platform is just incredible for Pyro!
Hey Vici Deum do you remember me? I was the kid you met on Fortnite back in 2018 and me and my friend played a few games with you it’s amazing to see you still uploading!
I do, hello Mr.TicTac! That was a fun time back then and I'm glad we got to play some games together! And thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you checked in with my channel!
I'll be using either my 400i or my 600i Explorer. Not sure which yet. The 400i is more practical, flies better, and is a lot faster. The 600i Explorer has a lot more forward firepower, can bring a G12, Lynx, or Ursa Rover, and has a medical bay.
Atm I think both are excellent choices given the points you raise. And as a tradeoff to its agility, the 600i has an extra shield as well! But I think after the rework, the 600i Explorer becomes the better option, given its amazing utility!
I have the 400i, MSR, Corsair and the C1 Spirit. I'm hoping the the C1 will make a good Pyro ship. If it can run away like the MSR in space, I'll be happy. I'm also looking froward fur you to do an in-depth review on the C1. I'll get a 600i next year.
Great vid! All great choices for Pyro, of different sizes and capabilities. All durable, long haulers. 👍 I'd love to see ships like the Terrapin, or 315p on a list like this, but they don't do anything yet. The Catepillar is another one that might place well if modularity were working.
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed this! And I agree, it'll be great once the Terrapin and others like the Cat get proper functionality to them; they should be amazing ships once redone!
I'd be using the upcoming Zeus MkII ES for exploring pyro, even though it aint large as the Carrack which has a medbay that is truly essential, it's weapons and fuel capacity let alone having 4x size 2 shield generators can get the job done for long range exploration and defense.
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed this! And congrats on your pickups, those are some amazing ships! I wish the BMM would release before Pyro, but sadly I suspect we'll still need to wait for that!
I'll take the Perseus or Liberator, but far as ships in game that didn't make your list, the MSR, 400i, Caterpillar W/Fury's, Starfarer Gemini, M2 and the RAFT have a lot of fuel. Light fighters won't cut it in bigger systems, W/out a mothership and not to many of those in the PU yet. I can see snubs like furys in these larger ships though. These ships do not have massive firepower, but have the fuel and accommodations for a smart pilot/Captain to make the long haul.
I think those are excellent recommendations for alternatives, especially the rest of the Hercules line. The 400i definitely works as does the Cat, but I just don't personally like the Starfarer much and feel the Raft and MSR are a bit too squishy for my taste; lacking those larger shields!
Corsair is definitely a great choice...destroyed 5 attacking ships solo (on separate occasions in the same session, not at the same time) with just the main guns, no missiles, with very little damage to myself if any at all.... and has more than enough fuel to get you around
600i exp? starfarer? can some of those ships even go through the gate? if they ever update the 600i it will have the same medbay as the carrack and what could be more important than that? if i remember right the jump gate itself demands a special jump drive that some of the ships on your list do not have so they could not even get there without hitching a ride with one that does.
I think the 600i is a fantastic ship and alongside the 400i were close runner ups (although the 600i could be swapped for the Corsair). This list was made with current ship functions in mind, but after the rework, the 600i explorer will be a top contender! But a lot of this will definitely depend on jump point limitations however they end up finalizing it!
The one for me will be the *Mercury Star Runner.* I have some theories about how data running will work, and assuming that all commerce and news data will have to filter through the known galaxy via jump points and a 31st century "pony express," I suspect that data will have a lot of time critical contracts delivering it. Cue the dangers of Pyro. We may be faced with a choice to make five jumps around, or take a shortcut _through_ this perilous region, and the Mercury has a lot going for it to support the hazardous option. Others I think will be useful: 🚀 Herald - Similar to the Mercury, the Herald could be seen at jump points making numerous trips through jump tunnels, but not so much across Pyro itself. 🚀 SRV - Most likely just nipping in for rescues, I think the SRV might be a common sight based out of Pyro jump point stations. 🚀 Starfarer - The obvious answer to limited refuel options. And for the future: 🚀 Odyssey - Who needs refuel stops when your ride can refine its own? 🚀 Polaris - Versatile and will make potential aggressors think twice about engaging.
I own all of the ships you covered and more. However, my list for Pyro exploration and adventure is different: 1) Carrack (with an escort/snub), 2) Banu Merchantman (with a Defender escort/snub), 3) Drake Kraken (w/ Cutty Black, etc. as snubs), 4) Drake Corsair, and 5) Mercury Starrunner. I don't recommend the Redeemer unless you are an escort for a Hull C, or Hercules C2, Drake Caterpillar, or other loot piñata. Pyro is a dangerous system so go well prepared for combat. Go big or stay safe in Stanton.
I really like your list and think those are some excellent choices! Although having flown the Redeemer throughout Pyro it did really well! Not only did the twin size 3 large shields come in handy, but it had plenty of q range and most ships were scared to engage to begin with!
what is this list ? 2 ships have no cargo and besides the defender are so big for solo.. easy pickings in this pirate/murderhobo infested system. my personal list is 1. 315P 2.Nomad 3.Cutlass Black 4.Freelancer Max 5.Constellation Taurus
I've loved flying these ships in Pyro so far! A lot of the system leverages longer q drives and these all have a ton of sustain with the bigger shields; except the Defender which is just so dang quick!
Not in the game yet but the polaris will be the king of navigating through hostile territories. Medical bay, hangar for a medium fighter, size 10 torps, lots of firepower and nimble for a capital ship. Polaris will replace the carrack for alot of people who are more into combat but still want a deep exploration ship. Even an idris or jav would think twice about engaging a polaris
Idris AND Javs all have bigger torps than the Polaris, and while it'll take multiple torps to take them out it will take probably one S10 (Idris) or S12 (Jav) to take the Polaris out. And "nimble for a cap ship" means it'll still handle like a cap ship, and not like a Caterpillar. It won't be dodging any torps or missiles anytime soon... I had the Polaris for the longest time, but melted it to get something easier to manage while still a behemoth : the Reclaimer. With the rest of the credits I took ccus back to the Polaris in case it turns better than I expect.
@@captainharlock3998 Just checked to be sure, the idris has size 5 torps and the jav has size 12, which still leaves the polaris right between as the go to kingslayer outside of a whole javelin with a fraction of the crew size. The idris railgun hurts, but it doesnt s10 torpedo hurt haha.. but this still stands that the polaris can definitely tango with a jav or an idris. Id even go to say an idris couldnt take on a polaris 1v1 at all with similar skilled crews; but the idris brings to the table a larger crew size, two medium hangars and more to make up for it
The MSR will have no problem getting to an around Pyro. You’re just going to have to be alert and prepared to mercury star run the hell away from pirates at any given time.
Argo Cargo ftw! xD Jokes aside, i´d prolly take either the Tali (as a small flying fortress), C2 or Defender. But in the future, i think the BMM with the Defender or Glaive in it´s hangar is gonna be great at exploring the new "red market" of Pyro =)
BMM will be a giant Loot Pinata in the new red market of Pyro you mean. The reason why I melted mine was because it became nothing more than a big red target for any slightly headstrong pirate...
Yep the Carrack is the best ship to use for a group of people to explore the Pyro system, if CIG can get all the compartments within it to full functioning purpose, the armor lockers and the cabinets, this ship together with perhaps the medical C8 plus 2 Furies and a ground vehicle is the perfect platform for a group of players to explore Pyro. But lets be real, the best ship to use... is the unreleased one... the mighty Drake Kraken housing multiple ships and vehicles as a mobile base for the lawless and really no place to land Pyro system since the Kraken has provisions to rearm and refuel ships. and YES CIG should release that ship or at the very least... the smaller Anvil Liberator, tho it would seem that the Polaris may beat those two ships to the punch by being released to the live service sooner/ish probably...maybe 😜 Personally I'm hoping that by the time Pyro is out, the A1 or the C1 will be available to fly that system.
I completely agree, once the larger ships like the Carrack, Liberator, Polaris and Kraken are properly introduced (with their accompanying features), they'll be powerhouses in Pyro and beyond! I'll probably have to redo this list with a cap and sub-cap version in the future!
A really close contender for this list and would have solidly made it after the rework; atm it just overlapped a bit too much with the role of the Carrack, but missing the medical!
i own 3 ships from the list and for now i would only use 1 the corsair and reason being pilot has more guns and auto turrets or ai crew is not a thing yet so my carrack and redeemer get a lot of dust on them
You should dust off your Redeemer more! Its a great ship with an easy to use flight model and a ton of awesome features; strong components and weapons, long range q drive, stocked fridge and room for friends! But sadly my Carrack (Galaxy loaner) ends up collecting a lot of dust atm as well!
LOL a fully crewed Hercules A-2 would obliterate all of these ships as well as having the most fuel for the longest range. Not to mention binging the pain to any ground target as well.
This feels like pirate bait. Not going to lie though, a Pyro list is hard to make because you have to think about variables like crew/solo, pre engineering change and post engineering change, fleet size, and so on. Here's my list. Post engineering change. Crew: 1 1. Cutlass Blue, but anything works. 2. Vanguard. 3. 315P or 325A (depending on goal and pilot skill). Any starter ship could also take this slot. Freelancer MIS could also go here depending on missile meta. 4. Defender (avoid players) 5. Spirit? I don't have experience with it. I think it has potential but it will need to be tested. Pisces is a wildcard. Eclipse is another, if you're filling a role. Crew: 2-3 1. Connie. Andro for combat, any other connie for anything else. Regardless of missile meta, this ship is scary. 2. Corsair. (meta dependent but hull HP is important) 3. Cutlass Blue. 4. Retaliator. It's better in a fleet but is still a hero ship IF you have a crew. 5. Deemer. Yes, the Scorpius is better in a realistic fight, but Deemer is more versatile. Crew: 4-6 1. Connie. 2. Retaliator. 3. 400i. 4. Carrack. 5. Herc. Any variant. Corsair is a 6th pick personally. You're risking alot with something so fragile. Connie isn't much stronger if you look at the numbers, but the cross section of critical (as in you die if they do) areas on the connie is MUCH better and edges out the convenience of a corsair. Every ship on this list either offers something more, offers a much better overall package, has more firepower, and has a better cross section/hp ratio. Don't tell anyone about the Tali being a top pick btw, it's secretly a monster, but nobody knows this because nobody uses it. Crew: many + fleet. 1. Carrack. 2. Starfarer. Don't underestimate this ship. 3. Hammerhead. I want to say Tali is better overall, but the HH fills the opposite role. Tali can go here too though. 4. Hercules. 5. Reclaimer, IF fully or almost fully crewed, upgraded, and escorted. Anything with Size 5 can go here, but big ships will be vulnerable to an eclipse pilot. Ships to avoid: 1. 600i. Solo or crew, just don't. Ballistic damage will change and alot of ship swill gain armor. The 600i has the same issue as the Defender. It relies on shields. 600i is an amazing ship for low difficulty systems and low difficulty players who have trouble killing an npc aurora. It has shields, utility, range and space. It will get melted if a S5 ballistic connie even looks at it, and while that isn't saying much, post rework, CIG will likely keep the ship as a high shield low hp baloon. 2. Vulture solo. Prospector solo. I say this, but you can still do this, and likely will have incentive to so I can't stop you. 3. MOLE with no escort. Put any industrial ship here if solo or no escort. 4. Hull series (duh) 5. Avenger series. 6. Cat. You CAN make it work, but the herc makes it useless. It's super easy to pirate, can't carry vehicles, and while it's faster to accelerate, which will probably matter alot more in the near future, the Cat is only excellent at being a Fury nest. Stats vs cross section, the cat can make a solid case against experienced pirates, but the C2 is much more versatile. Other ships. MSR. I think there are potentially better prize ships especially with an escort (like the RAFT) but you're better off splitting the load across a few cutties anyway. As a hero ship it's... fine? Serviceable? I think there are better picks with a small crew for what you should be doing in Pyro, but the MSR edges out even the top 1 spots across the board for certain pilots and orgs. I think it's case by case. If you like what the MSR offers (speed/capacity, not the WORST hull HP, BUT also a large cross section) and can play around it, it will be your best ship regardless. It has glaring weaknesses (that mantis will still stick to you like glue) but you already know this and still want to use it. It's the 'skill' pick in right hands. I salute you for your strategy, because there's a 80% chance you know what you're doing if you use this ship in Pyro, and a 20% chance you're roleplaying, theorycrafting, or are just new and don't know any better.
Oh I definitely use chat gpt for some heavy lifting! I come up with the context, my picks, voiceover the video, add the footage, and edit throughout. But a lot of the script writing itself is so much easier with AI!
Well with now released f8… hard to keep some other fighter in… bany only got beds better. And vanguard could have had that too… my main fighter is now f8 🫣😇😅
@@ViciDeum thanks for the reply. I honestly dont know if im Lucky to own a Galaxy or to be depressed that i spent more than 200$ to get it in a CCU Chain :D If nothing else, the ship looks wicked sick. Super cool design.
I hope that the RSI Polaris will be in play by the time the Pyro System is released. Because that will be the ship in which me and my friends will fly to Pyro.
I disagree, especially after just playing Pyro and testing some of these myself! While no one can no for sure, I think we can all infer a lot from current gameplay as I did!
@@ViciDeumSure you can disagree now that its 3 weeks later, and we know a lot more about the system. Your video was jumping the gun, and its still inaccurate.
@@hellgeist_ I disagree, and think these ships will stand the test of time 😁 Loved flying the Redeemer right out the gate. The Crossfield, q fuel and big guns made clearing first missions a breeze and literally took seconds; esp helpful with the updated AI actually working on the CitCon computers!
I disagree! While its got great quantum fuel, it'll be an immediate target imo. And without better ways to transport escorts, leave it rather vulnerable atm!
My Pyro ship was the Cutter. But now that they cut down on Quantum fuel so extreme it's a useless ship. I'll take my M2 to Pyro. ... Or maybe the carrack is there's an Upgrade opportunity.
The entire Hercules lineup is amazing and really great ships for Pyro! The internal cargo space, twin large shields and agile atmospherics make them truly incredible! The Carrack is another fun choice too, especially paired with any number of runabouts (I prefer the C8R)!
A couple thoughts: The redeemer is one tough cookie; but very gimped when solo'd. With a crew, it will be a solid Pyro choice - just not for solo use. The Carrack has zero guns from the pilot seat...so the same comment applies. It's a great ship but exclusively multi-crew in Pyro. Both are terrific ships...and among the finest multi-crew vessels in the 'verse. But, with respect, I will NEVER understand how the Corsair made this list when there are so many better options. It has the worst flight handling of any ship in its size and category. Yes, it does indeed have good pilot guns and some cargo SCU; but it's absolute garbage at PvP and flies like a drunk whale. Unless they fix its handling in an upcoming balance release, it will be among the worst Pyro choices which will favor ships with more range, better speed and quicker alignment. Even the venerable (but smaller) Cutlass Black will be better suited for Pyro than the Corsair (unless they do a broad update / gold pass and improve its handling in both atmo and space).
Those are fair counterpoints to the Corsair, and I think calling it a drunk whale is pretty accurate haha. But I fully enjoy flying my Redeemer solo, even if its less ideal!
Good ear! I am using chat GPT-4 to help with script writing! I have no shame in a good tool in my belt haha. While I design the context, edit, overlay with footage, record and more, simplifying the script writing with AI has been a blessing while in school and working full time!
Also lets piss off the community by NOT allowing ships that are not categorized as "LARGE" to be able to navigate the jump point and enter the Pyro system, small and medium ships need to be "shipped" thru the jump point in order to be used in the Pyro system, all you have is a small or medium ship? you're shyte out of luck until someone brings your ship over to the Pyro system. That's why its important to have a station just outside the jump point because that is the only place you can respawn a ship making ships that can carry other ships invaluable not to mention ones that can rearm and refuel other ships like the Liberator or the Kraken 🤪 watch the entire community who only bought a "small" ship throw a fit when CIG does this, you brought a starter ship you stay in the starting system until you can get your small ship carried by larger vessels or get a bigger ship yourself. Because the only way you can respawn a ship in Pyro is in ruined station and that you have a positive rep with all the pirate gangs, making your return to Stanton hard because you will be treated like a pirate by Stanton system police as a hostile😋
The script and visuals sound and look nice, but honestly didn't give me a ton of actual info. Sounded more like a car ad. Being "bold and relentless" doesnt mean much to me if I want to know the nuance of why it works well. I appreciate the effort put in though, and the editing. For someone who is more into the game already, it would likely be a much better video, because they would be able to check out and enjoy your script.
@@ViciDeum absolutely! It depends on what style you want to go for, man! Sorry if this sounded harsh, I was trying to be informative but it came off as cold upon reread lmao. Essentially - I was initially assuming based on title that it would be a more "this is good for x, this is powerful for y reason" type analysis - but for entertainment value from someone who already understands the game, your script makes sense - my assumed purpose for the video (information vs entertainment) may have been skewed by my watching of other list videos prior. Generally I think I was also in the informative camp rather than the informed camp at the time, as I was looking into ENTERING star citizen. Now that I am a player, I find more entertainment from your video for sure - so it's about who ya pitch to :) Keep it up. I like seeing quality content on more niche communities being made.
Ah yes the best ships are only the biggest ones...?? How about choosing ships 1 or 2 people could operate? Beceause ofcourse the bigger ships have more fuel, obviously. But i think picking the best mid to small size ships for pyro is the best idea. So here you go, another list you can make.
@@ViciDeumredeemer, carrack, c2 hercules are NOT 2 or 1 person ships. Sure they are massive and one is a massive exploration ship. But those are 3 of the 5 ships allready, the corsair is just about a 2 person ship. The defender suits this list verry well togheter with the corsair. But its almost as if size is the most important thing in your list. Not the acctuall role of the ship. Im pretty sure ships with a focus on exploration (like the zeus or terrapin etc) will fit the pyro system really well and will be the best ships for that purpose. Not sure how usefull a redeemer will be for planetside operations (for example) since it cant carry a vehicle. Its just a big gun with a ship attached. In such a case the idris is obviously the best ship for pyro! Or a javelin. Cant carry too much firepower and cargo in pyro after all. See what i mean?
@@ViciDeum i like your videos btw, but sometimes your list dont make a lot of sense 😂. But oh well we can all dream. And who knows. Maybe some of these ships will acctually be any good for pyro. Although i think generalists are more usefull in pyro. Like a nomad or constelation/freelancer.
That sounds like a lot of refueling gameplay and/or really long quantum trips. Either way, most small ships will be forced to use slow drives to cross the huge system. The military ships aren't any better than any other ship when they are docking, on a pad, or hooked up to a Starfarer. Landing at crowded, hostile places all the time will shorten your life expectancy considerably. Fighters have little room for extra food or medical supplies, or much loot. No bed. No head. Might be a rough way to go.
I totally disagree with Redeemer's recommendation for a few reasons(gameplay issues not the intended project), including the almost zero hp of the tail's horizontal stabilizers, the absurd fragility of its trusters and the ease of being ejected from the moving ship if using the stairs or standing still in front of the refrigerator. In its place, although with much less firepower, I suggest the Vanguard Harbringer, this is of course just my opinion.
Yea you definitely don't want to use stairs or elevators in q travel haha. But I haven't found its particularly squishy where you mention! I found the Redeemer excellent throughout my Pyro playtests and one of the best ships to use in my fleet; the q drive, twin large shields, pantry and more were incredibly convenient!
Ill probably head to Pyro in my 600i Explorer

Highest qt fuel in the game, more firepower than a Redeemer, two large shield generators, very maneuverable, over 200 SCU cargo space and room for vehicles, survives hits better than the Redeemer atm and can drop bombs on derelict sites to eliminate players on the ground who might be waiting for you.
I agree, and think the A2 should have taken the C2's place on this list! The ability to drop a MOAB alone is worth consideration, but the Hercules platform is just incredible for Pyro!
If they give us Pyro and it’s stable. I will buy a Corsair. The Carrack if they give us 12 systems.
I think that's a wise way to spend for your fleet!
My inner Imperium of Man came out as soon as I saw the Banu Defender
Its one hell of a ship to conquer the galaxy with!
@@ViciDeum true, but it was more “Xenos”
Hey Vici Deum do you remember me? I was the kid you met on Fortnite back in 2018 and me and my friend played a few games with you it’s amazing to see you still uploading!
I do, hello Mr.TicTac! That was a fun time back then and I'm glad we got to play some games together! And thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you checked in with my channel!
Great writing like always
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed this!
Congrats on your pickups, those are all awesome ships! And stay tuned for the C1 video coming very soon!
Pisces C8 FTW They willl never expect a thing!
A great ship, but sadly the quantum range is too low!
With an Atlas Drive they go places@@ViciDeum
Great vid! All great choices for Pyro, of different sizes and capabilities. All durable, long haulers. 👍
I'd love to see ships like the Terrapin, or 315p on a list like this, but they don't do anything yet.
Although not as big it'll definitely be more nimble!
“Damn, you use your tongue better than a $20 w***e.”
Hahaha, why thank you!
Love the orchestra of words. 😂
I’m going in with a Carrack, C2 and Gemini or the BMM if it arrives before pyro…
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed this! And congrats on your pickups, those are some amazing ships! I wish the BMM would release before Pyro, but sadly I suspect we'll still need to wait for that!
i have a corsair (normally paired with a nox or rover) and a reclaimer that will be my main go tos for pyro i think.
Congrats on your pickups, they should both serve you really well in Pyro!
Its such a good ship for absolutely deleting anything that gets in front of you!
600i exp? starfarer? can some of those ships even go through the gate? if they ever update the 600i it will have the same medbay as the carrack and what could be more important than that? if i remember right the jump gate itself demands a special jump drive that some of the ships on your list do not have so they could not even get there without hitching a ride with one that does.
The one for me will be the *Mercury Star Runner.*
I have some theories about how data running will work, and assuming that all commerce and news data will have to filter through the known galaxy via jump points and a 31st century "pony express," I suspect that data will have a lot of time critical contracts delivering it. Cue the dangers of Pyro. We may be faced with a choice to make five jumps around, or take a shortcut _through_ this perilous region, and the Mercury has a lot going for it to support the hazardous option.
Others I think will be useful:
🚀 Herald - Similar to the Mercury, the Herald could be seen at jump points making numerous trips through jump tunnels, but not so much across Pyro itself.
🚀 SRV - Most likely just nipping in for rescues, I think the SRV might be a common sight based out of Pyro jump point stations.
🚀 Starfarer - The obvious answer to limited refuel options.
And for the future:
🚀 Odyssey - Who needs refuel stops when your ride can refine its own?
🚀 Polaris - Versatile and will make potential aggressors think twice about engaging.
I'm really looking forward to when the MSR finally has hacking/data running in game!
400i for me. Exploring new planets with hoverbikes will be great, being able to run away unscathed will be key in pyro! Thank God the 400i is fast af!
Fast and damn good looking!
400i would be a good ship for pyro
It was even in the Pyro citcon teaser!
Melted my 400i, really want it back now. Great ship.
@@Cal-Macu can buy back 1 ship u melted right now with store credit
@@starcetus ahh messed that up too as I think it was a ccu upgrade 😭
It's such a beautiful ship with all the utility you need to get started in Pyro!
Totally agree with the Carrack being number 1. Its the hardest ship in the game to pirate right now.
Its just such a great all-rounder, with everything you need to explore Pyro to your hearts content!
Corsair and Carrack are the only ones who match. Youre forgetting the 600i and the Constellation series.
The 600i and Connie were strong considerations that I felt just got slightly edged from this list!
My ship list
Defender
Redeemer
Caterpillar
Reclaimer
Misc odyssey
I commend your list, those are some great picks as well!
what is this list ? 2 ships have no cargo and besides the defender are so big for solo.. easy pickings in this pirate/murderhobo infested system.
my personal list is
1. 315P
2.Nomad
3.Cutlass Black
4.Freelancer Max
5.Constellation Taurus
I've loved flying these ships in Pyro so far! A lot of the system leverages longer q drives and these all have a ton of sustain with the bigger shields; except the Defender which is just so dang quick!
I consider 4 ships the redeemer, 400i, the defender and the corsair.
A fantastic selection of ships that should serve you well in Pyro!
Id even go to say an idris couldnt take on a polaris 1v1 at all with similar skilled crews; but the idris brings to the table a larger crew size, two medium hangars and more to make up for it
I can't wait for the Polaris and agree that it'll be a top tier ship to contend with!
same can't wait for the polaris me and my crew are going to have a blast.@@ViciDeum
Yeah the polaris could kill an idris with 2-4 torpedoes (like the commercial for the Polaris recently).
Nice vid!! Will the msr be good to?
The MSR will have no problem getting to an around Pyro. You’re just going to have to be alert and prepared to mercury star run the hell away from pirates at any given time.
@@jde-jj1lu thx, i dint know if it was a gopd idea to go there with my msr
I think the MSR will make a great choice, given its massive quantum fuel capacities!
Millennium Falcon, Freedom V2 G.U.N.D.A.M., UC Vigilance, Polaris, 600i Explorer! yup that's my top 5ives
Which one is the gundam?
Those are awesome picks!
what about connie phoenix?
A fantastic ship that’ll do really well in this system; it’s just edged out by these!
@@ViciDeum edged out?
Argo Cargo ftw! xD Jokes aside, i´d prolly take either the Tali (as a small flying fortress), C2 or Defender. But in the future, i think the BMM with the Defender or Glaive in it´s hangar is gonna be great at exploring the new "red market" of Pyro =)
BMM will be a giant Loot Pinata in the new red market of Pyro you mean. The reason why I melted mine was because it became nothing more than a big red target for any slightly headstrong pirate...
@@captainharlock3998 Yeah It probably will. lmao
@@instrutordearmamento But at least it will be a freakin gorgeous loot pinata!
I completely agree and foresee myself using the BMM throughout Pyro! Having that hangar for quick planetary pop ins will be invaluable!
600I?
A really close contender for this list and would have solidly made it after the rework; atm it just overlapped a bit too much with the role of the Carrack, but missing the medical!
For solo I think the Corsair would be the best.
I think the Corsair makes an excellent solo choice! Personally, it'd depend on the context for me if I'd choose it over the Defender!
i own 3 ships from the list and for now i would only use 1 the corsair and reason being pilot has more guns and auto turrets or ai crew is not a thing yet so my carrack and redeemer get a lot of dust on them
You should dust off your Redeemer more!
An A2 would also make an awesome Pyro ship!
This feels like pirate bait.
Not going to lie though, a Pyro list is hard to make because you have to think about variables like crew/solo, pre engineering change and post engineering change, fleet size, and so on.
Here's my list. Post engineering change.
Crew: 1
1. Cutlass Blue, but anything works.
2. Vanguard.
3. 315P or 325A (depending on goal and pilot skill). Any starter ship could also take this slot. Freelancer MIS could also go here depending on missile meta.
4. Defender (avoid players)
5. Spirit? I don't have experience with it. I think it has potential but it will need to be tested.
Pisces is a wildcard.
Eclipse is another, if you're filling a role.
Crew: 2-3
1. Connie. Andro for combat, any other connie for anything else. Regardless of missile meta, this ship is scary.
2. Corsair. (meta dependent but hull HP is important)
3. Cutlass Blue.
4. Retaliator. It's better in a fleet but is still a hero ship IF you have a crew.
5. Deemer. Yes, the Scorpius is better in a realistic fight, but Deemer is more versatile.
Crew: 4-6
1. Connie.
2. Retaliator.
3. 400i.
4. Carrack.
Ships to avoid:
4. Hull series (duh)
I think those are fair counterpoints and good considerations for alternative choices!
solo i take my 400i, small crew, Deemer, large crew, Hammerhead
That's an awesome fleet lineup! And congrats on your pickups!
This reads like a chat gpt script. So I feed it a request and got the exact script for your video lol 😅
The F8 is awesome but its hard for me to fly ships without a bed as well!

Especially after its modules are introduced, the Cat will be in a class of its own!
I hope that the RSI Polaris will be in play by the time the Pyro System is released. Because that will be the ship in which me and my friends will fly to Pyro.
I hope so too, the Polaris is shaping up to be a top tier ship and an excellent option for Pyro!
600i explorer would be my pick
It's a close contender for this list and will be even better after the rework!
Anything with large fuel tank is fine
Absolutely, and I think its the biggest barrier for most ships to survive here!
No one has even been to Pyro yet, its not live. Knowing what the 5 best ships are for that system can only happen after its been experienced.
This is such a valid point. I won't be making any such decisions until the gate opens and we know what all ships are recalculated to.
@@ViciDeumA Redeemer with AI blades??
obvious the hull-c would be among them
Gib BMM
Yes please!
You said "tapestry." That means you're using GPT-4.
tapestry, dance, ah, obsidian, promise, remember... there are keywords.
Good ear! I am using chat GPT-4 to help with script writing! I have no shame in a good tool in my belt haha. While I design the context, edit, overlay with footage, record and more, simplifying the script writing with AI has been a blessing while in school and working full time!
Clicked this hoping to see the inside as well....
Thankfully with CitizenCon, Pyro early access footage will quickly be available, including on my Livestreams!
Carrack is overrated. Cannot defend itself if flying solo. The connie is a better option here.
I disagree. While the Connie is a fantastic ship, its much more fragile, lacks medical, and has just a fraction of the quantum fuel capacity!
Never understood why so many on the outside think they know everything about inside.
It'll be really interesting to see how they navigate the introduction of jump points proper!
Please keep convincing people that the redeemer is viable in pvp, especially solo, so killing them in pyro will be easy for me.
Its obviously not as good as crewed, but still better than soloing a lot of other (esp smaller) ships in the verse!
Idris
Absolutely! Its going to be a whole other animal once big cap ships are introduced!
@@ViciDeum hell yeah!

Being "bold and relentless" doesnt mean much to me if I want to know the nuance of why it works well. I appreciate the effort put in though, and the editing. For someone who is more into the game already, it would likely be a much better video, because they would be able to check out and enjoy your script.
I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback!
Now that I am a player, I find more entertainment from your video for sure - so it's about who ya pitch to :)

MISC Odyssey.
When it releases it’ll definitely be a strong contender!
696. not 692.
Apologies, thanks for the clarification!
Ah yes the best ships are only the biggest ones...?? How about choosing ships 1 or 2 people could operate? Beceause ofcourse the bigger ships have more fuel, obviously. But i think picking the best mid to small size ships for pyro is the best idea. So here you go, another list you can make.
The Defender is a solo ship (with room for a friend), but the others (besides the Carack) can as well, albeit less optimally!
Meh ill go in a Gladly.
Risking it for the biscuit!
Banu defender
I agree, it's just such a great ship! And with that atmospheric handling to get out in a pinch, it's going to be really hard to beat!
Crusader is my go to lol so the C2 Hercules will be the one for me.
It'll be a fantastic ship for Pyro, and congrats on your pickup!
They are all number 0 if there is no Pyro.
Fair enough!
