I'm disagree, but I do agree with Dread Knot and Rocky Balboner. There were "too much grabbing the leg and dumping Petch on the ground. You should understand Judges don't score high on that, and Petch did not looks hurt any of the rounds." "Half of his leg grabbing/dump weren't legal anyway! Jimmy got warned for it multiple times"

I agree. Pet had max 2 rounds. The first two the Frenchman played with him, 3 th and 4th clearly voor P but the last one, Jimmy had the clear shots and the dump.

Even being blind, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder would have heard how many times Petchmorakot was dumped on his backside and would've got the call right.

Bad decision. Vienot clearly dominated rounds 1,2 and 5. Round 3 was a close one, for either of the two, only in round 4 he gave in due to the fall (from which he recovered well).

Ok just like you say, Vienot won 1,2,5, and Petch won 3,4 that will be a draw 47/47 isn't it ? Since Petch score a knockdown and Vienot had more facial damage.

Everyone feels Vienot won yes because he show more aggression and more clean hits but too bad the knockdown he received caused him. Btw if you dk a knockdown automatically a 10-8 which is equivalent to a 2 round win. It makes a lot of different overall.
What a robbery, Pet dropped in the 4th but even on this round Vienot was landing way more. Give him an immediate rematch and change your judges...
My issue is with the 10-9 scoring system a knock down drops your score to 8 but the other rounds were 10-9 for Jimmy so Jimmy should have won with points it should have been 48 to 46 to jimmy

Sérieusement y a pas besoin de faire le connaisseur en mode "mais c'est pas du K1 vous connaissez rien" pour voir que Jimmy gagne le combat, le seul round qu'il perd c'est celui du knockdown on est d'accord. Mais sinon c'est lui qui débite niveau jambes ( ce qui marque des points en thai ) , beaucoup de low et high kick, des projections, des coups bcp plus insicifs y a rien à dire ... son seul malheur est de ne pas être Thailandais et dans la mauvaise orga.
Sorry guys im Thai and I feel ashamed. Disgusting how they straight up robbed Vienot based off 1 knockdown when Vienot literally took Petch to school dumping about 30 times. Even in a classic Muay Thai scoring its not even close. Always thought ONE's judges aren't as bad as the UFC's but now im thinking otherwise.

Damn! I've been enjoying the Muay Thai One FC has been putting on but that decision was shocking, pretty disgusting actually.

Extra Notes : At the end of the fight jimmy vienot had more visible damage , the jabs and punches he sustained throughout the fight had his face marked bad , his body was red from the kicks he caught , and his legs were damaged from his kicks being checked and taking kicks from Petchmorakot . Petchmorakot had a clean face and marks on his legs from jimmy vienots kicks . So with that being said Jimmy vienot sustained more damage and it is more visible than the damage petchmorakot sustained . 💜
Final statement : This fight was very close Jimmy Vienot is a very smart fighter i have alot of respect for him , but inside of the ONE scoring system Jimmy vienot did not come forward enough . He was not brave enough to fight his way to the title or take risks . If Jimmy Vienots plan was to fight on the backfoot all night he needed to close the distance and be brave to land far more strikes than he did , he missed alot of strikes . He landed a little bit more , dumped his opponent many times , but it was not enough to counteract the knockdown , the damage he sustained from jabs and bodykicks all night long and the damage from his kicks being checked all night long .

Very nice 👍🏻 Unfortunately most people are not interested in facts or statistics. They are so convinced of their opinion, although they don’t even no the rules. Very annoying, but comment sections are full of these people. To blind to see illegal leg hooks, foot grabs etc.

Please, try to listen to the commentators, the judges scored by rounds, not damage whole fight. What you said about scoring whole fight is used in mma not muay thai. This should have been a draw, but no draw in ONE so yeah, Petch won was kinda acceptable
They score thai and kickboxing matches round my round, only mma is judged as a whole in one fc. clearly 4-1 if you take round by round scoring.
I am sick of rigged fights and bad decisions, Jimmy won convincingly.
I'm watching this again, the first time I watched, Viennot was the better fighter, I don't see how a single lost round ( there was a legit knock down I agree) would cost him the whole fight where he was better in all departments, equilibrium, IQ, ring management, even volume...

This is correct. Due to rd by rd scoring he retains. All in all better fight by Vinoit but that's how the scoring works right? In a true muy thai fight outside of One that's a Vinoit win.
but these matches are not actually scored by round. they are scored in totality. and the amount of scoring vienot did significantly exceeded the scoring petch did even with the knockdown. at least two or three of the dumps were sweeps which score. ring control and dominance are scoring factors. and if you look at petchs legs that had bruising and abrasions there were definitely more effecting kicks landed by vienot, overall punching also would go to vienot.
As far as round 3. watch it with reduced speed. Vienot by my count landed 2 more punches, 3 more kicks. petch landed 1 more knee. vienot dumped petch twice at the beginning and one looked like a sweeping dump. petch was the aggressor more often. but all that in total would defintely be vienot ahead.
Vienot won! Hope he gets a rematch.

Round 3 was close enough, I could see it going for Petch. That’s still a draw. You would have to give away a lost round to make Petch the winner of the match. But I see your point. Like it or not it’s like that on most combat sports, you have to defeat the champion convincingly.
The Frenchmen won four to one for me and beat Petch up into the bargain. Moody decision.
So for each of those kick catch dumps...does the kick score as well? Each time he catches the kick he's doing so after he is hit in the side of body. You can see the redness accumulated.
MT scored every kick that have reaction. You need to act macho after getting hit, even if it blocked, to convinced the judges that it doesn't bother you.
@@gungrave10 I would guess, not having the pleasure of experiencing it myself, that the kick might do more damage...as it has a smaller, more focused impact than landing flat on the back after a sweep.

I am Thai and I thought Jimmy fought excellently. Petch narrowly won with that right counter in my opinion but Jimmy look formidable throughout.

Vienot won the fight. Petch didn't have his usual height advantage and it exposed him.
He is a tough fighter, but you can't give him the fight because of one knock down, when he lost almost all of the rest of the fight. He is a more sellable name, sadly for the Frenchman.
I was usually much taller than my opponents myself when fighting, getting good at fighting smaller opponents. Then suddenly facing someone taller, I can relate to that being very difficult to adapt to.

I have always hated Petchmorakot's fights. This fight's outcome made me decide to stop watvhing ALL his fights and ALL fights judged by the sleeping judges of this fight!
I guess the judge scored 47/47 for the 10 point must system. Petchmorakot scored a knockdown which automatic become 10 - 8 for that round, he just need to win 1 more round to score a tie for 47/47, below is the break down expample.
Round not in order
10 - 9
10 - 9
10 - 9
9 - 10
8 - 10 for the knockdown
= 47 - 47
Up to you to decide whether if Petch win 1 more round or lost the other 4 round. Since it cant be a draw, they give Petchmorakot the win likely due the knockdown and damage on Vienot face.

This makes no sense to me. Vienot clearly won rounds 1 4 and 5. That puts him 3 up. Even if you give Petchmorakot a 10-8 in round 4 for the knockdown and give him round 3, which was 50/50, he gets a draw at best. The result could only be a draw or win for Vienot. No way should he have lost the decision. Something is either wrong with those two judges or One's scoring system is flawed.
KO vs aggressive, the judges voted KO is better. There is no tie in this.
Bring back the old UFC format - no rounds and fight doesn't end until one wo/man is left standing.
I don't think sweeps count for as much as these guys think they do unless they are counted more in onefc than anywhere else.

Petchmorakot means Diamond Crown in Khmer. May be in Thai means the same? Both are great fighter. I enjoy the show.
petch won, he did more damage by far, jimmy mainly got leg kicks and sweeps, petch got the better of him in most punching exchanges and in the clinch

There is only the knockdown round for the Thai otherwise that’s definitely a masterclass from Vienot thanks for the show but another time change judges or make rules more clear for everyone

Coming from a thailand perspective they dont go in 1st and 2nd round, thats is basically feeling our rounds, its the last 3 rounds that matter, thats when they turn up

No way it was a robbery. If you count Rd 3 going to petch then it's a tie. And others were saying the KD is the tie breaker. Overall Jimmy had the better performance but you score by rounds

Thight fight. Rounds 1,2 and 5 clearly 10-9 for Vienot round 4 10-8 for Petsm.
Round 3 they put Petsm cos he win. And win the whole fight in even score cos of knockdown. If even one judge put round 3 for Vienot then he would win.
