Wow, when I laid my eyes on my Dad Labelle albums, I was like I love their style and outfits. Pioneering was the word that I thought of. Lastly the voices were impeccably strong. These women sung their hearts out about social conscious things in the world and I was sold. Labelle is truly in a class by themselves.

Labelle, in addition to being decades ahead of the game were also a group of the most intelligent spiritually in tune people. It actually sucks they’re most known for Lady Marmalade after the poignant music they’ve made.

I didn't see any hostility in this. She was just giving a very brief history. Maybe a slight bit of shade but not nasty. I never heard that Nona Hendryx was or is still mad at Cindy Birdsong. It was Patti Labelle that was angry with Cindy and didn't talk to her for years. But that is all water under the bridge and Patti has forgiven and forgotten from what I understand.
Honestly, they did much better after Cindy Birdsong left. They talk about her because she will always be part of their history. Nothing wrong with telling it like it is.
