Thank you very much for this great demonstration! In particular, the trick shot at the end of hole 15 over the flattening of the stone can save me if I hit too far before.👍
These course guides are wonderful, thank you so much for the hard work. Are you still making course guides these days? I would love to see guides for the courses you haven't done yet!
Thank you very much :) These do take a while to put together so I'm pleased to hear they are of use! I am working on guides for all courses, so in time they will all be up, I've just had to take a short life pause from it recently
I just got a hole in one on 15, you use two rocks. The first one to the left and the middle snowcapped rock. It is possible to do it gently enough to leave a second shot on the green but requires more precision!
There's another shot on 12 you can hit to bounce off that closest rock on the right at the bottom of the hill. If you bank off the wall to the left before going down the hill you can get it in there
It’s one of those holes I play for a fairly safe 2/3 and just watch everyone else go off the end again and again. It’s one of those “oh this was working in practice” shots!
Great job on this one Sir..... I agree with a lot of your insights..... And you do offer some fresh things too, that I had no idea about.... I'm not quite sure what you mean by "the walkabout golf community"... the other youtubers... Uhhh, let me be kind, and say they are not as good as you.... I agree with you 150%, on 18, you MUST stay on top.... Unless you enjoy being stroke limited out..... I've been playing Bogey's Bonanza a lot lately.... I feel like it is the "fairest" test... It really only has a few holes, where you really need a very lucky shot.... I feel like my real weakness is... On these trick shots... When an EXACT amount of pace is required... I cannot do that. On medium-hard to really-hard hits, I seem to have 2 settings... Waaaaay too light, and Waaaaaaaay TOO hard..... Which is a real problem....
Thank you Patrick! When I say the community I mostly mean the regular players on the Facebook and Discord groups, they always find trick shot routes first, but the skill is in deciding which to use. I agree on Bogey’s, it’s a really good balanced test, and I’m looking forward to playing it more. I also feel I’m similar on struggling to judge some of the exact power shots, which is why on hole 16 of this video I talk through my thinking of the ‘better’ way to miss. I should be coming out with some training tips videos soon, so I’ll see what I can work out to help improve this type of skill. Thanks again for your input

I'm baffled at how your odds of hitting the corner of that rock on hole 12 could be under 80 or 90%, and that your odds of putting it in from the distance needed with the shot recommended are even better than hitting the corner. I would hit the corner successfully at least two or three times as often as making a putt from that distance, and you aren't even guaranteed a line. You could even aim a little to the left of where you should, which is one inch left of center, so that you still hit the left face off the rock if you aimed too far left. As long as you don't hit equal to or right of center or absurdly far to the left, you stay in bounds right? Also, have you ever seen anyone successfully use the pillar on hole 14? I was pretty much convinced that it wasn't possible.
Hey, good to hear from you again, it's been a while. The odds of hitting it are player dependant, and confidence plays a big part in it. I was looking for the highest value, lowest risk option to put forward (as a bulk of the player base may not be confident in hitting that small corner edge). Sure, the put is long, but if you miss the long putt you're not in danger, if you miss the edge to the right (which people seem to do more than to the left in my experience), you're back to square one with an extra stroke on the card. Granted, if you can hit the edge, it's a nice solid 2, and you're right... if you're going to miss it, miss left.
Thank you, this course is only one whats keeping me getting Platinum, with your
advise i think i can finally make it
It’s a tough one, just play it safe, stick with the ‘knowns’
Love these guides! Keep at it. Almost feel like walkabout chose their Olympic courses based on courses you haven’t made a guide for 😂
I have my suspicions 🧐

@@InnerPrincessVR Thanks for the reply! Cheers!
Hey! I love the course guides you've made! Any chance you will do more of them?
Well done. Beautiful video mate. 🍻
Great guide on both videos - many thanks

Nice! I’ll have to give that a try…
Okay, so this is the hardest course and it's not just me being an idiot. 😁 Great guide as usual!
Oh it’s tough for sure. Thank you 😊
Outstanding much appreciated. Alfred E. Neuman ⛳️
Thank you Alfred 🙏
@@InnerPrincessVR You are very welcome Sir, looking forward to playing a round again soon ⛳️

Yep, agreed. It’s a good route if you can hit it, just quite a tough one to judge
@@InnerPrincessVR yeah it's sketchy. Either you hit it for an easy 2 or you go off the map lol

I’m famous!! Thanks for mentioning me!!
Thanks for letting me steal your shots 😁
Keep up the good work!
Much appreciated!

Tour de force!
One day hole 13 will go in one, it's one of only a few that have not been done.
It went in, just the video got corrupted… honest…
