I'm glad the suggestion for the home store was useful! Yes, when I ran a farm store, I put out a CC jar and made up that it was "honor system" for people to shop from the community. I also used the mod option for shoplifters to make it more realistic that some people might take advantage of the honor system as well! Just a friendly suggestion but would it be possible to turn your game music off? There are parts of the video that are hard to listen to because of your added music on top clashing with the game music sounding chaotic 😝
I personally keep the animal aging on, so it's one less thing for me to keep track of. But instead of letting them meet Grim, as soon as I get the notification that they're getting on in years, I send them off to become ingredients. I don't have to watch my chickens die on screen, and I get ingredients for cooking!
Aside from everyone dying and the general chaos of this household, Gretchen seems to be doing well. She was flirting with Sofia at the beginning of the episode and this Frederick person later, so she may end up scandalising the whole village, but she seems to be having a decent enough time at the moment. How long that'll last I don't know, but unfortunately I don't think it'll be very long.
