    So glad you showed the bag inside clearly and measured. I ordered one. I have the original PL XXL. Best tool bag on the market.

      It’s surprisingly holds about as much as my bigger bags. The only drawback is no protection from rain or falling out of the bag.

      @@HVACRSurvival I don't care for protection that much. I can protect it with plastic wrap on top. I like the open because nothing is in the way and easy access.

      I changed a few things since I posted this video. I moved the meter into the meter bag and wire tied it on the back and put my drill where the meter is at in the video. Otherwise it's still a pretty cool bag. I would say one of the things I like the most about it is how I can put it on a work counter and not take a lot of space when I'm working in a restaurant.

    Nice informative video Rick. I plan on getting that bag. All my other bags are veto. Instead of using the bag for the electrical connectors, I will use a Monday-Sunday pill container.

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I purchased 2 sized pill boxes like your speaking of. I'm using the normal size one plus that little bag. I've also seen guys use a 3M electric tape container and put that in the bag. That might work better than just the zipper bag by itself, in terms of finding the connector you want.

      I really like the MC, I kinda would like to try the MCT. I had the Tech LC originally before it got stolen and it was to big and heavy. However I would also like to try the backpack but figured it also would be even heavier for everyday carry. Thanks for taking the time to watch it! I'm about to put up a video of how I got into the field and few other videos that I've been kicking around.

On a side note I'm thinking about starting a podcast when and if I get it going would you want to come on an episode and talk about something? Other than being open to the rain I love it. It has a smaller footprint so I fits better on the counters of where I'm working at and you can see your tools for easy ID and if one is missing. That is usually a big plus over the MB2 bag. But if/when they put the bottom on the MB2 it will be a big seller I think. Thanks for checking in and watching!

    Great video and load out. Question, how high is the belt clip on the back? I am considering attaching this bag to my TECHOT-MC as both an expansion bag, and to detach and carry only the essentials once on the work site. The top of the tape measure clip on my TECHOT-MC is 6" from the base, so I'm hoping the TP4B could clip on and sit at the same height off the floor.

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's 7.5" to the inside of hook where it would attach to your d ring. If I was to measure from the hook down to where the fabric is that would be right at about 6 inches.

  • @Keo0oo
    @Keo0oo 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you have different pairs of quick connect head gauges at all? I was gonna grab them strictly for PM's but I hear you would have to grab two pairs due to potential oil mixture of 22 and 410. That kind of deterred me. Thoughts?

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry just seen your comment, no I do not use different gauges, the amount of oil that you'll contaminate is so small it's not even worth messing with. If you notice at this point people are adding POE oil to mineral oil without even changing the oil in the compressor , I purge my gauges and move on. With these gauges here the refrigerants not being sucked back into the system so there's no chance of any contamination.

    I think it’s time for TOOL GIVEAWAY😁. I have the tool pouch right before that one came out, difference is it doesn’t have the plastic bottom, I thinking about upgrading, do you have any problems with the bag tipping over when your trying to get a tool out?

    • @HVACRSurvival

      Superior- Not so much on the one with the plastic bottom, but as you noticed I dont have it stuffed so full that the tools have a hard time coming out either.

    So carry a regular bag then by the looks of things . Looks like 10 pounds of sugar in a 5 pound sac .Would you not agree ? Or is it the ford ranger of small bags ? Serious question

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure what the question is. It holds a lot of stuff but doesn't keep your tools dry. I've been using the mb3 lately that I got for free after buying the TecPac MC. Bags really are a personal decision based off personal preferences. There is no correct answer.

  • @awsom70
    @awsom70 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have this bag and I like it only complaint is the base could be a little bigger it's kind of rickety likes to fall over easily once it's loaded with tools the bag is much bigger than the base

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mmmm? The one your talking about is the new one with the plastic base? Mine does good for the most part, Just a little bit of a problem standing it up when I first sit it down, otherwise it does good for me. Maybe rearrange the tools to balance it out might help?

    • @awsom70
      @awsom70 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HVACRSurvival yep the tp4b. Loaded the girth of the bag is about twice the size of the base. There's no real rearranging, all my heavy and long items like adjustable and channelocks basically have to go along the back or else they would block stuff in, it just makes no sense to me why the base is so small in comparison to the overall size of bag
