Caste system is given by Lord Krishna Himself
Lord Krishna divided the society into four castes according to their work
1. Brahmins- Vedic scholars 2.Kstriyas - administrative class 3. Vaishyas- Business class 4. Sudras - Working class ( Bhagavad Gita 4.13 )
This not for the purpose of discrimination
But for God realisation
It like the limbs of the body
In the body all the limbs are important
Similarly in a society all castes are important
Everybody is supposed to worship The Lord with the results of their own work
The purpose of life is God realisation
If a Brahmana by birth, is doing the work of a Sudra, he is to be considered as a Sudra
Also a sudra by birth, can elevate to the level of Brahmana/ Vaishnava by becoming a Devotee of The Lord
A Devotee of The Lord, is to be considered above all this castes
