    This guy is such a good teacher. Also follows the objectives to a tee which makes it easy to focus in on certain subjects if you need to retake a test. Thank you for this series!

    Every video you make is simple and easy to understand. Before every video, I'm thinking I won't be able to understand it but after watching it, I actually do. Thank you Professor!

    The radio-frequency section was such an eye-opener. I always wondered how those things worked...

    Hi professor, I noticed that you mentioned the Zigbee connections were on a meshed, open network. You also mentioned that the Z-Wave network is meshed but I was wondering if it was a closed network (since it is proprietary) or is it also an open network like Zigbee? Thank you so much.

    Hi, can you please explain what it means by an open standard with two major wireless standards associated with Internet of Things technologies, does an open standard mean that is NOT a proprietary system?

    How come on my modem/router for 5ghz I only have the option for channels 36-48 and 149-161. Based on your video I should also have channels 100 -149.

      @professormesser  4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      It sounds like you might have an older wireless device that does not include the newer frequency ranges.

      @@professormesser Thank you for responding Professor. That makes sense now. I bought my modem/router in 2014.

    Do I need to know the specific channels for the 5ghz band? For the exam?

    • @professormesser
      @professormesser  4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      You need to know the differences between the two frequency ranges and the ranges used by the different wireless standards. You don’t need to know specific frequencies or channels.

      @@professormesser thanks, I also wanted to know if a USB receiver (for a mouse or keyboard) was an example of zigbee or bluetooth? Or both?

    What channels do we use for 5 GHZ

    • @Meteor-IE
      @Meteor-IE 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would assume the range is 5150Mhz to 5925Mhz, broken into IEEE channels, 36-64 100-165 @20Mhz, 36-64 100-161 @40/80Mhz and 36-64 100-128 @160Mhz
