44 years … I was listening to WPLJ-FM 95.5 in my bedroom in NJ when the news of the shooting was announced … just like when Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper & Ritchie Valens were lost in the plane crash, it was ANOTHER “Day the Music Died” … I often wonder what would have been had John been around to rail against the right-ward shift in US politics since Reagan’s inauguration a month after the shooting … I believe that John would have been as big a thorn towards Reagan, Bush, “Shrub” and ESPECIALLY Trump as he was to Nixon … and the world is worse off because we never saw that … 💔💔💔
