- Probably about the millionth remix of this track, but well, we've been performing various iterations of it in our sets for about 8 years now so feel a little ownership over it (and also think ours is a little dope!). So decided to offer it to you guys for FREE!
Chucks has whipped an Electro Swing banger. We don't usually release much DJ friendly stuff, but sometimes you just put some massive kicks, snares and subs in there.

This is exactly why I like this song, I could not figure out why
"Once you've heard high-fidelity reproduction you'll be hard to satisfy with anything less. The bigger and better the speakers the higher the 'fi'!". Love that old American ad-man accent; the Yankee equivalent of BBC English. As an aside, that type of voice was partly the inspiration for the voice of Quagmire on Family Guy. High fidelity is also, of course, the extension of hi-fi.
I caught the sample from Moby's Go
It's called the Transatlantic accent. It was created to be an upper class accent without any regional ties. Sort of otherworldly in a way that's familiar but not quite attainable by the common people. England still does this with the "actor's English" where you suppress any real accent and replace it with the way Charles Dance speaks. It's also very clear and easily understood by pretty much every English speaker.
Back then media and media stars were supposed to exist in a sort of elevated reality, just like Shakespeare dramas, and advertisers probably wanted the attention grabbing gravitas of the Transatlantic accent to associate their products with the glamour of movies and the trust of news anchors.
It fell out of favor when naturalistic acting, like Marlon Brando in A Streetcar Named Desire, took the movie world by storm

Dead Walking It does. The original is by Louis Prima. Benny Goodman did a cover of the song but with no singing.
