I think he is basically worn out esp over the last few years, and I don`t blame him. Going forward keeps busy with a nice niche area of tech investment. Also the old guards are back with Eddie and Joseph coming back, he is clever to keep out of their way to give them a totally free rein
How is the split into 6 groups coming along? Is it done, is it planned for a special date or still in the planning phase? I just had quick search about but I didn't find a clear answer, which leads me to think it is still in the planing phase.

He didn’t leave, they gave him 1 BILLION dollars to invest in tech. So he’s still around just moving into money management for Alibaba.
