nizkta No he is not legendary. It is spelt Lee Jelley. Like jelly spelt wrong and Lee spelt right. Listen to When When Wagon Wheels Were Bigger for more comedy gold like that.
I don't read. But when I say this is the most amazing story. The imagination and creativity. And I never got to see all the episodes. But I remembered it vividly. Thank you for the upload! Absolute Ledge!
Thank you very much @Lee Jelley, I've just finished reading the book to my son (his first Wynn Jones novel) and he wanted to watch the TV adaption. I only saw it once myself so we're having a Father/Son time enjoying this together. Thanks again.
I remember watching this when I was 11 and I watched all the parts as I enjoyed it. I have to admit though that the intro and music creeped me out when I saw this back then but because the story is good I couldn't help but watch it.
I think his facial expressions are actually pretty accurate. Sometimes he smiles, sometimes he's aggressive, but always wearing a mask of someone completely daft, except for the moments when no one's watching. But yes, he's supposed to be mucb taller and bulkier. I like this actor, though.
This is like a meanace play for kids lol, I loved this when I was a young, it's so surreal and I suspect is a weird metaphor for how the world is, the establishment and what it means be an adult...or its just some wild shit lol...and Tigger from Onlty Fools
I've just finished the book and I was pretty excited when I found this series, but Idk if I'll manage to watch it because I cant bear with the way they choose to portrait the Goon. He was supposed to be kinda chill, always grinning, and here he's like angry all the time. I can understand plot changes and other adaptation stuff, but I hate it when they change likeble characters into assholes xD
Whoever put this up: you are legendary!!!!

Amazing. All this time i had no idea the book had been adapted! And it’s remarkably true to the book.
Lee Jelly, legend!
My favourite book and my favourite programme from being a kid, thank you soooo much
Absolutely loved this weird and wonderful series, so fantastic for children's TV

Thank you so much! I haven't seen this for about 15+ years!
If I remember rightly, this was first shown in very early 1992, mad to think this is now 30 years old!
Finally! I've been searching for this for years! Thank you so much.
p.s. The intro is still freaks me out

Amazing Diana Wynne Jones would go on to have a movie made by Studio Ghibli!
Why is it that every time I think I've found something obscure from my childhood that nobody else knows about, you're in the bloody comments?
@@Fluffyudders because he’s your alter ego?
have not seen this ,did not know my 80's chrush joanne ridley was on here the secretary at the end!
excellent
All things being equal, I feel like the Goon should have been taller and bulkier, and smiled more. However, this is a pretty accurate adaptation.

In the book, Goon is a lot friendlier than that. But it's pretty good, just the same.
Oh my god from watching this I remember it! Goon was such a scary character and mean and rude!

what a strange story, but the diction is clear, so watchable---an alien is here
The goon is Shirley!
Can this improve my english
People used to be so shouty when they're "acting" XD
Kids TV acting 😂 awkward body language and SHOUTING!

WHERE ARE CHAPS 4 AND 5? THIS THING IS PRETTY CHEESY, BUT NOW THAT WATCHED THE FIRST 3, I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!
Am I right archer was the guy who sent the goon
Nope :)
When you want to stalk someone the best vehicle is always a noisy smelly 12 ton dustcart

The Goon's not big enough.
The goon is too nasty and too smart.
