I’m 27 years old, from Germany, and Mac Miller is my favorite artist of all time. One of my life goals is to visit all these spots one day, and I absolutely have to make it happen. Big thanks to the video Nina and for inspiring me!
I'm 44 and always was proud that not too many people knew the blue slide is a concrete slide painted blue. It was huge to me when I was little 😂😂😂. The playground was older back then. But the sweet spot was the grass valley. Also it's Upper Frick Park where the Blue Slide is. We were usually at Lower Frick Park growing up.
Well, i'm French and i'm huge fan of Mac Miller, when i was 13/14 years old he just help me and save me, i started to playing music he just inspired me, he just change my life! Your video make me cry too much for real, thank you, you show me this places and this is one of my dream thank you thank you! for those who don’t know, blue slide park is a popular party spot for pittsburgh kids. the actual spot is a bit further back but parties are still held there to this day and mac miller is played a lot
when i went with my friends, we stayed at the indigo hotel, at the hotel we met a weed dealer who was super sus of us, but we eventually got to know him. we met his friend at red lobster a few miles down, his older brother tutored mac miller apparently. he also gave us insider local info about the blue slide. “vegetable oil or something, and a garbage can top, shit had me flying into the fence past the swings”. i’m like word and it sure did.

Also I was in there while they were closed, with the new owner. Guy was super cool, saw us, let us in and told us the history of frick park market. Was super cool of him. I have a shitty video of it.

I live very close (3 min walk) to blue slide park, so it’s cool to see so many people travel to my neighborhood!

Walking distance? Maps says Frick Park Market to Blue Slide Park is a 30min walk.
There was a few times we drove to different places but all the drives were super short. That was one of them!
