    Great videos... cool that you have the same set up as me, so I feel i can learn a lot. Cant wait to see how you use all those frames in the software

    Do you think you lose anything or maybe have to work harder in extracting more data out of MFT as opposed to APS-C? I love the Olympus cameras but because of AstroPhotogTool and it's limited application to Canon & Nikon might have to pass on Olympus. I know Olympus has their "capture" program but does it really compare to a dedicated astro software? Nice work btw, I really enjoy your vids.

      Olympus capture just has one big issue and this could be easily resolved. It is limited to 60sec exposures. Now in light polluted areas this is not a killer since a lot of times you are limited to exposures that long anyway. There is also dithering and a few other things but this is for advanced users. ZWO is going to add support for OMD cameras soon so we eventually will have capture software that supports all the things the AstroPhotographyTool has and it will be easier to use.
      As for the sensor size thing. You do not have to work harder. If anything you have to work harder with larger sensors because you have to be much more carful about your flats than you do with 4/3rds. Later I will do a video on sensor size and astrophotography.

      @@TheNarrowbandChannel "ZWO is going to add support for OMD cameras soon...", is that through ASIStudio or one of the recommendations for capture software on the bottom of their page? My preference is Mac but I currently split processing between PC and Mac. Thanks!

    Great video, thanks for sharing. I just ordered the ASIAIR Plus and I'm planning to use it with an E-M1 III - do you know if that already works?

    • @TheNarrowbandChannel
      @TheNarrowbandChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ues and no. I did a video on it recently.

      @@TheNarrowbandChannel Sorry, found that after I posted the comment. Really impressed with the effort you put into the video explanations. What I didn't get - do I need a second camera to temporarily / fake connect to the ASIAIR to make it work? Or can I switch the actual guide camera?

    • @TheNarrowbandChannel
      @TheNarrowbandChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@floriank Yes and no. The second camera is only needed if you want to dither. :) Which as you grow in the hobby you will find is very necessary.

    One question on all those calibration frames... I know you use a filter on top of your sensor when you make pictures. Is this filter on or off the sensor when you do the calibrations or does it not matter?

    • @TheNarrowbandChannel
      @TheNarrowbandChannel  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The filter only matters for Flats. None of the other calibration frames need you to put the same filter on the camera.

    hi. are you able to connect Olympus camera to asiair pro? I am unable to do it

      @TheNarrowbandChannel  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Girish. I am actually going to be doing a video on that soon. Currently only the beta version of the ASIAIR works. Its version 1.5. One the facebook page for the ZWO ASIAIR they have instruction on how to get the new beta. I have been using it for a few nights now and it seams quite stable on iOS. The new autofocus feature is really great too.

      Oh and one more thing. They are supporting the EM1 and Em1 MkII
