EON is doing great work and there is no doubt about it. BUT there is an ongoing issue which I hope needs to be resolved now since it kept coming back.
    1. Amaan bhai, you are a great mind and a very passionate person but kindly give time to the guests to speak MORE.
    2. Questions should be precise and answers should be elaborated by the guests.
    3. If you invite two guests, balance between them. e.g. Raja bhai didn't get a chance to speak much and was interrupted a lot.
    4. When sharing your own analysis as host, try NOT to go on tangent after tangent and analysis-ception. We as audience were hoping to hear from Muhammad Hijab and Raja Zia more.
    5. If you wanted a discussion with Hijab, Raja Zia should not have been invited in the first place. You could have done a separate podcast with him later may be.
Hope you will take the feedback positively. I am a huge supporter of EON and would really appreciate if you can fix this minor issue. Had to write cause it kept coming back. May Allah SWT reward you all for spreading knowledge. Jazak-Allah

We have heard him(and zia) speak a million times and if u still want to hear there classical narratives then there's hours of content available for that. This was a brilliant conversation with an actual intellectual host which provided the new narratives and out of the box ideas that either of those two weren't thinking of or at Least weren't talking about properly on media and we were able to know about their practical approach for the future for the very first time.
In short, no one else was gonna ask them such practical intellectual questions.

The Mirpuri comment absolutely disgusted me and Im glad Mohammed Hijab called him up on it. This is the internal racism that exists within Pakistan against our own and it is completely unnecessary. As Hijab said, the Mirpuri community in the UK is thriving, they are the most successful of the Pakistanis here in terms of businesses. The first generation have built a strong foundation and now the 2nd and 3rd geenrations are going to universities and medical schools. In fact, if you walk into any restaurant it is likely owned by a Mirpuri, and the people slaving away in the kitchens and cleaning the toilets are from Lahore/Karachi. Glad to see him squirm in his seat when he was questioned on it. Absolutely disgusting.

Fantastic questions by Aman, esp about what's the next step. Just talking won't do. Basically Aman was hinting at Dr Israr or Sahil approach without naming them.
This is infact the biggest weakness of our ummah. All focus on beliefs and rituals and some basic ethics. There is hardly any focus on the political side of Islam because that requires sacrifice, losses, bans, and worse things

@omerghorizai6352 i don't think it would be effective. It will turn into a debate competition where everyone will just try to defend their POV.
Raja Zia mentioned that when he was impatient, he discussed with the scholars who calmed him down. The problem is 99% of the scholars have zero activism and political acumen.
In fact, they have officially labelled it haraam to struggle against a corrupt muslim ruler. Their seniors were loyal to the British. Infact they even modified the seerah books to please the British. And then their seniors were loyal to the Mughals, Turks, Arab kingdoms. Because of abt 1300 yrs of Muslim rule, the scholarship hardly every focused on politics, activism as that was left to the 'khalifa'.
So our traditional scholarship and their students can't deal with the current crises. They have no training or literature.

Thank you for that installment. Just pitching in for your future think tank fund. 💸Aman my friend, you're on a roll from 49:46 onwards, but the start was also great. I am glad that you almost called out your guests on their excessive liberal bashing. You're absolutely right that we need the liberal parts of our population to accomplish the long-term policy work. There are no jack-of-all-trades, and we don't need half-baked ideas for that kind of intellectual work. We need people who have academic backgrounds and experience in their respective domains.
Recently, there has been a lot of unnecessary criticism towards liberals, which I find concerning. In particular Pakistani "conservative" outlets like YC etc are getting nuts, if they follow that tangent long enough Pakistan will also be polarized just like the West now. (God forbade). Furthermore, this might have created tension on campuses among students because these kinds of slurs and labels used by people online are replicated by youth in real life, and in the long run, it affects them... they (religious youth) either become isolated or become a noisy, rigid, echo-chamber who just regurgitates same talking points that they heard or read online. So good job in rectifying that. Overall a great episode with all the shoutouts to Western European Muslims 🤩 Peace out✌

Yeh closet racism came out , then Muhammad hijab corrected him and suddenly .. oh ok I like them .. i have friends who are mirpuree .. ( that old chestnut !) there is a lot of arrogance sometimes from the Pakistani brethren..
