She's right. I'll put it this way. Uryuu and Ichigo didn't fight at all in the manga. They had that little argument, Ishida said "it's because i'm a quincy" and soon as the other sternritter guards pulled up Uryuu shot the edge of the palace and Ichigo and friends fell down. It was lame. In the anime we actually got a proper fight. As for this episode, Shunsui didn't give a speech in the manga, nor did they include everyone in the seireitei coming together. It was only the main captains and lieutenants. Little things were changed too like Nanao and Kenpachi talking happened in the lab in the manga but in this ep it happened outside. Order of events were also changed.

This part is not "mainly" anime original content that nobody knows where is going BUT it was said they gonna put more original content in cour 3 (part 3) and cour 4 (part 4) then we had in cour 1 and 2. The whole Ukitake flashback (white hair captain) wasn't in the manga either and then the Ichigo and Uryu didn't had proper fight like this in the manga (in short) it was Uryu shooting an arrow and they fall down from the palace.. it was sooo dissapointing. The anime doing so much more justice for this!!
Oh it's so much more and I love it as an og reader back in the day. He's adding in bits of pieces and shifts stuff in the manga to high-end the war itself and make it feel like one too. Great stuff and can't wait for my favorite captain Mayuri to have his best fight ever.

@kevinkovacs3131 It's a planned fight from jump, the lore flashbacks, the secret cameo, the enemy Mayuri got humbled by and won by himself. It's a beautiful display of his character and weakness too. Kubo did his thing with the mad scientist

I read the manga when it first came out and what I can confirm is that stuff that wasnt in the manga have been added in the anime since cour 1 up til now and will continue that way til the end. Tite Kubo the created of bleach left ALOT of holes in the story during the mangas run on this final arc and hes been doing a great job filling those holes in the anime. What im mist excited about is cour 4 because at this point in the manga we are very close to the end of the manga, yes it ended VERY quickly from here forward so im assuming cour 4 is going to have alot of anime only stuff.
13:20 - I think by anime only is they are going to expand on this last part a lot, since it was extremely rushed in the manga due to all the turmoil going on behind the scenes. Things happened without enough set up or explanation, fights ended abruptly, the last battle was anticlimactic. This is the mangaka's chance to clean up a lot of that.
From squad zero fight to the end it’s pretty rushed a lot of gaps in the story which the anime is filling in for example the ichigo vs uryu never had a fight or saw his new form just uryu shot the ground under him and ichigo fell that was it lol

There were big gaps in the ending of the manga so think of the anime as the extended version.
