People, she said (yesterday on an instagram live) that this video was filmed BEFORE this whole lockdown thing took place. Take a chill pill please. Loved this one, specially the pieces you are wearing in the end. Please do more videos about styling, maybe a favourites video of the favourite pieces you ever thrifted. Stay safe and please keep giving us your amazing content ✨💛
Filipa Gouveia This video is a lot of welcome, escapist fun and I take the point that it was filmed before the crisis took hold. However: the tone of it really smacked me in the face as being out of touch. I think most TH-camrs have managed to put an intro on their videos to the effect that they pre-filmed it and are aware of the severity of the Corona situation. This one feels misjudged.
@@spacewoman7814 did B Jones delete the critical comments? Cause I don't see any ... and I agree about the intro. Esp this deep in here where things feel worse and not better.
I would love to see some online thrifting/styling vids while we’re all social distancing! Maybe even some styling vids for days when you’re stuck at home?
This video is a breath of fresh air. I know you’re in lock in now but this video harkens back to the time a few weeks ago when we could go out and look for trends. NOW we have sooo much to look forward to when shopping our closet with your inspirations. As an avid thrifter and someone who is currently 33 weeks pregnant, as I’m transitioning back I have some ideas of how to dress my once again evolving body as I get back to where I was before. Lots of trends that I didn’t even realize I had in my closet until I watched this. Also because I don’t follow trends or even look out for trends, these videos are cool to see that I’m still kind of cool? Lol
Love it! I m going to watch this many many times, because I am at home and this give me more relaxing time instead of horror news everytime.. Stay safe and take a good care of yourself. Eat healthy, good sleep and keep your mindset positive! ❤✌biglove! LOVE FROM HAARLEM NETHERLANDS 🙋🏻♀️
I love allt he crochet you found! I love that red discocollarshirt! I love bellsleeves and puff shoulders! That peach shirt is so cute on you! Love the green brush stoke patherned skirt. Grate unique finds! I love uniqhe and funn! That Ghani is stunning!
Love: the shrunken vest, white crochet top, 80's ruffled bottom dress, brown striped vest That bright red blouse and brushstroke skirt looked great on you!
Love the outfit you styled with the red shirt, plaid vest and plaid pants. You really know how to mix plaids! Hope we see more of your finds styled in future videos.
My brain is definitely buzzing and VERY inspired, once quarantine is over I'm hitting up a vintage shop in Huntington Beach. Thanks for the awesome video!
Keep doing your thing Beth. I think it’s obvious that you didn’t film this just yesterday. A well needed break from the Orange faced guy and people being hysterical. And I’m in love with your “work from home” stories on IG. Come Through!
I've found the most amazing vintage pieces in my hometown. Recently picked up a gorgeous blue and white polka dot 60's dress. Fitted around the bust with a full skirt that goes down to my knees. Another piece I got recently that you'd go crazy over, is a vintage button down dress. The brand is "All That Jazz," it has faux pearl buttons that are wrapped in a gold plating. It has a dark navy, leafy flowery pattern. Behind the dark navy pattern in cotton, the base of the dress is a subtle silk-like lighter shade of navy. It's difficult to describe but it's a show stopper. It goes to mid thigh in length.
I’m going to shop my closet and see if I already have these trends while in isolation. Might be fun to try and MAKE collars too. Love your thrifting and styling videos so much. 💗
I LOVE that you and some of the other thrifting crew upload every Thursday, I have so much thrifty goodness to look forward to on this one day alone! AND OMG, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT PINK TOP WITH THE BILLOWY SLEEVES! It's so similar to the Ganni Poplin shirt with a bow but it's PINK!!! Even better!!
Don’t forget, check out second hand on outlets like Poshmark, Etsy, and Ebay. I am a seller on Poshmark and I know I and many others carry many of these trends. ❤️✌🏼
Loved this -- made me want to shop my closet and see what trends I could find at home while self-isolating. Because of the era's mentioned, that also makes it easier to shop online for vintage to look for some of these new trend ideas while staying in. Thanks for the inspiration, Beth!
These are my favorite! And such a welcome break from all the daily troubles in the world at the moment. If I can't go thrifting, it's great to see you do it. Love the Ganni blouse!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the red blouse that you are wearing at the end! I just did some online thrifting and got some GREAT deals! I'd love to see what you would find and your ideas.
since thrift stores are closed (just swung by 2 of my favs in Encinitas that were closed) would you show more style lookbooks - how would you style what you have in different ways? playing dress up must go on! LoL
LOVED this video, Beth! Thank you for making these videos. I am on 7 days, no work and feeling like I am going crazy! This was just what I needed. The red disco collar blouse is AMAZING!
The silky "bermuda" shorts are great! I have several pairs of these in a brand called "Doncaster", and they're almost like skirts. I have them in white eyelet cotton, psychedelic color/print, black & white dice print, and black & white wool. They're comfortable AND cute! I'm in LOVE with your final outfit...the orange button-down with vest with those plaid pants. I thought that vest also looked good with the silky shorts when you tried it in the store. Can't believe you passed on that awesome aqua colored crochet cardigan. It was fantastic. I'm having thrifting withdrawals, (thanks corona-v), so I think I'll "thrift" my closets and maybe remove sleeves or add waistbands or collars to make things current. Keepin' busy while stayin' home. Great video!!
Really love vests and embracing the full three-piece suited looks! I've been thrifting vintage polyester fabric in my area and have plans on creating a 70's inspired tailored suit for myself! 💕💕
Me too! 60’s, 70’s as one who experienced it in real time. Shopping my closet. I have a 70’s red shirt with exaggerated pointy collar and french cuff, another one in ivory and black polka dots and 3/4 sleeves that I used to wear. My mother had them in her backyard shed. I have an Mc Queen fitted vest, a Gaultier vest that is very corporate from the front and edgy with multiple horizontal straps with buckles from the back. I may crochet a top. Anyways, I will shop my closet first.
I am really favoring the Men's suiting. That been what I been thrifting and I been lucky enough to find some 3pc men suits with vests and they fit (I have a large chest). I also have thrifted vests on their own that use to be a $1 at Goodwill. I also like the sweater vest because they stretch. The other favorite is crochet. I have a few really cute bags that I have not pulled out to use in years and I do have a few clothing items that would work well that fall under this vintage look. My favorite that you thrifted was the Ganni black and yellow blouse. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you in the days to come.
Oh wow. Me too. I just have only found 2pcs suits. Im on the hunt for a 3pcs one. Im just waiting/hoping for one from my local thrift as their prices are the best in the region. One day, one day!
@@fashionbecomesher1665 It will happen! Just zone into the men's suit rack at different thrift stores. I go to Goodwill and Red Rack that under D A V (Disable American Veterans). Check those stores out. Good thrift hunting to you.
@@deniseoates7147 oh yeah, I should have mentioned, Im from the Netherlands and we dont have your big stores. My local thrift usually has about 5 or 6 suits so quite slim pickings. Other thriftstores in the area may have about between 3 and 10. It takes a lot of hunting. But you are right! It will happen!
Two notes: 1. I love that I was a teen in the 80s, wearing all the things that are retro now and I couldn’t wear because they would look dated on me, but fabulous on you. 2. COVID19 has all the thrift stores closed and I can’t go shopping and it’s KILLING me! Thank goodness for ThredUp!

Thanks for your upbeat video! After self isolation, I can't wait to break out in creative outfits here in Chicagoland! I just bought some fun spring/summer pieces from swap.com. Love your home decor too!
My faves from your haul: the "80s does 40s" khaki dress (reminds me of my most fab dress in the 80s), the red blouse you're wearing (love the collar & sleeves), the Ganni blouse (gorgeous print). I thought the aqua crochet sweater was absolutely darling & very complimentary to your skin, eyes, & hair. I wish it was mine!
I also kinda expected you to wear the brown stripe vest with the brown polka-dot skirt. That coulda been real cute. Oh, and I love the way you styled the olive jumpsuit!

Looove the green skirt! I am so jealous that you always find cutest puffy sleeves....I don't know why but I can never find one, even at more expensive 2nd hand stores (like cross road or buffalo exchange) in my area. Cant wait for the outfit of the week video! PS. I actually liked that you didnt mention about the craziness going on in the world now. I had enough of that.
