Hey bro, I put both the leg piece AND the body piece in the hot water, as well as the arm, wait for them to soft and connect them instantly, I found no problem at all. They all connected really well, you should try boil them all and connect them again.
i know this video is a year ago from today but i just started collecting mcfarlane toys and you’re one of the youtubers i loved watching. A comfort channel for me, hello from the philippines 🤟🤟
Walked into the local TRU a few days ago, and the normally sparse McFarlane shelf was stocked with this wave. Walked out of the local TRU with a wallet much lighter!
@@BradTheDCUniverseGeek I was wondering do the bafs work with differentt parts like I was wondering if you can attach banes parts with the merciless parts
use a ceramic portable heater set high on Bane's joints for 2 min, then while hot connect them real hard , let it rest for 3-5 min. i know its like cooking instant noodles, but it worked good for me
I think these are awesome original figures for us collectors. I needed the blow dryer for both the legs and the hands I haven't had any more trouble since. use the cool setting on your blow-dryer to
Ah yes, I've never thought if that. I usually shock the plastic with ice cold water. Good idea though to switch to cold when I'm using the blow dryer method.
My Bane didn't give me any issues. I found that heating the wrists up and waiting to hear a pop when you put the hands helped. Also to make sure they don't pop out pop the arms with the connected hands in the freezer for a minute and they will be good. Did the same for the legs
That leg popping off has happened to me 3/4 times most recently on Damian Robin. Also happened on WonderWoman gold armour but yeah easy fixes. Wasn’t easy when it happened to devastator though!!
Hey! My Last Knight on Earth Batman literally just arrived this morning, great timing! I haven't actually read the story yet but the Snyder Cut reignited my interest in post-apocalyptic looking Batman designs and that figure looked really nice.
Brad, the review was super! The way the figures were made into plastic form is superb. I wish the baf had been put through a' playday 'before he got final approval. Most likely the final product would of been the Bane to go up against any other rival version. Stylized yes but satisfying. Another member of the community who is a uniter not a divider:) Be Well.
maybe I'm just lucky but the joints on mine snuggle tightly..i did have the same problems before heating the joints, but they stuck real good afterwards..I mean he doesn't split or straddle, but good enough in a punching or at least walking pose being a massive guy.
The DC Black series _Batman: The Last Knight_ GN is on Amazon for like $12 !!! And that's the deluxe over-size hardcover addition. Don't waste your money on the 3 Comics get the Hardback instead!
Another great vid! I finally got around to reading this series, which got me more excited for the toys. Wasn't sure what Batman's costume was supposed to be. The pictures made it look like it was some kind of "desert gear." When I saw it was actually a straight jacket, I was all in. Very cool. Plus, it comes with the amazing Joker-in-a-jar accessory. Probably my favorite accessory since the Bottled City of Kandor from the old Mattel JLU figures. I have mixed feelings on the "stubble" effect on Wonder woman's head, though. She's got a pretty clean shave in the comics, so why add it to the toys? Other than that, a very cool wave. Let's hope they get to the Joker head/robot body we see at series' end someday.
The wave is really good and the BAF Bane is a very nice Bane though honestly my favorite of the wave is the Wonder Woman. Just such an awesome design and glad they made a figure of it.
It’s twenty dollars so a few things aren’t going to be painted articulated or even just plain left out but the way that the Bane figure has those big QC issues is unacceptable. I don’t even think Todd gave a response to that situation......hopefully we get him again maybe with an alternate more comic accurate colors with those issues fixed.....
Mine goes together perfect but comes apart at the legs and fist pretty easy. The hot car trick is hilarious though. Never heard that before. Your cleverness abounds!
Even though I don't collect this series because I prefer 6" scale, I can vicariously collect through you. Great review. Definitely some nice sculpts and paint apps. If he ever does more of a dive into the classic DC comics characters I may consider hopping onboard the Multiverse train.
Hey Brad, since you often customize your figures, are you thinking of modifying your Bane to stay together a little better? If you are, consider making a video tutorial for the rest of us.
I finally found the Wonder Woman today. She was the last I needed to build Bane. The only thing I don't like is the buzz cut hair. I wish it was just flesh tone with the mohawk the way she looks in the comics. If anyone reads this that has any suggestions of how I can remove that pain or which flesh tone pain to use to put over it so I can fix it I'd be happy to hear them.
All the figures look great but Bane's articulation is really stopping me from buying this wave... Like, I really want Bane, but I also want to pose him more. Maybe I'll try to get Omega and Batman loose or something. If Todd releases a more classic looking Bane with a different mold instead of going the Hasbro route of repainting and reusing BaFs, he'll have my respect forever, lol. Also, can you use Omega's fists with other Batman figures? Can you test that, please? :P
Man, I'm so torn on this wave. I recently got Omega and honestly love that figure, and I currently have the rest on Preorder but I was really hoping that Bane would be better.
I realize that this is late. Do you feel like McFarlane figures, at times, have an overall play with fiddle with attitude? For example, Ive seen online if the legs do not initially fit its possible the leg joints have to be switched to create a more secure Bane figure. It reminds me of like the wathammer figures that come painted and unpainted.
Lol did you say tummy boner? 🤣. I was planning on passing for this series but I have to admit they look really good. I'm going to read the story and see if I connect with it. I have to wonder if these figures are going to be like the White Knight figures that seem to be lingering perpetually at Toys R Us. Too bad about the Bane though..
That's weird, I just had to resubscribe to this channel. Have you had a subscriber drop recently? I'm going to go check your other one too when this video is over.
Youve realized by now that McFarlane doesnt just reuse sculpts for every character right? Im positive he would make an all new sculpt for any Wonder Woman coming out next.
You haven’t put him together properly. Mine has none of these issues. After you put him together you have to put his leges under cold water, then his legs and hands will not falling off. Even though the legs articulations are not so well engineered you can easily pose them. If you want I can send you a video on Instagram.
I belive you. Glad yours works. I've seen a video where somebody got theirs tight enough to articulate. Mine no matter what I do using heat to expand and cold to retract the plastic doesn't work. By the sounds of it my situation is the norm.
Don't know about you guys but . . . I've bought 10 McFarlane Batman's in the past 6 months and geez. I cannot get these dudes to stand up even with the stands provided without constantly making adjustments. I don't know if it's the weak ankles or what but these guys lean like they are listening to Dj Screw. Also, the stand issued only gives clearance for one foot to stand so the other foot is off the stand. Is this intentional? Having one foot off the stand makes it weird, at least to me.
You said it. The arms are the best most useful points of articulation. Every point of articulation from the knees down is useless due to Banes legs attachment.
The card shows Diana is 6 ft tall and Batman is 6'2. Yet WW towers over Batman. I know, sometimes I can be a scale nazi. Aesthetically, a very nice wave.

That Bane body, with the new Bizarro head, would make a killer Solomon Grundy.

I'm torn on Wonder Woman. How customizable is she? Thinking of removing the cape and replacing the head for a more contemporary look.
