Iv never tried a pair of solovairs but from my experience with Docs is that the quality can vary greatly at times. The solovairs you got seem to really resonate with you more.
I agree with you! I also like supporting smaller businesses where possible so Solovair felt like a no brainer to me. A shame about the inconsistent quality from doc marten, I’d love to own a vintage pair of them one day ❤️
I recently bought the greasy dealer boots from Solovair and I love love love love love them, instantly comfortable, very stylish, I do prefer the greasy leather look to the high shine in a chelsea boot but the classic doc martins style always high shine :)
Hi , I am planning on getting the dealer boot too. Do you recommend ordering the same size as my other shoes? I wear UK 7 for both Air Jordan and Dr martens. Thanks!
@@belleboca5997 hello! Id say you should size down from your usual size. If in doubt reach out to their customer service team, they’ll be able to give you measurements and work it out from there. Hope that helps.
@@belleboca5997 sure! I reckon going half a size down means it’ll be easier to slip your feet in and wear thicker socks if you’re wearing this during colder weather 😊
Solovair used to make the Dr Martin, Solovair are completely different league quality wise. Personally based on experience avoid high shine, scuffs and marks are hard to cover because of the finish, i made the mistake of buying Loake hi shine and scuffed them, ended up having to strip with acetone as no polish would stick to the high shine lacquer finish
Thanks for sharing your experience with the hi-shine! The hi-shine is pretty unique, definitely a standout from solovair. I had a hunch I’d have to baby my hi-shines… Never mind, used to that with my expensive handbags anyways! 🙈
Hi! Thanks for doing a review on the dealer boots - couldn’t find any videos on it… haha. How has the hi shine held out so far? Did you notice any cracking on the leather? And also, how was the sizing after 2 weeks?
Thank you so much for watching! I also noticed that on YT too, hopefully my video was helpful. Still early days with my boots, so it’s still in good condition. The size down is ok, highly recommend trying them on to make up your mind.
I bought the Doc's Chelsea for my wife at Christmas. Her first "decent" pair of boots other then a pair of western boots. Kind of hapoy about the lack of shine on them. Doc's high shine is usually done by far to much plastic coating on the leather. This way if she wants the shine ill spend some time with quality boot cream and polish. But for now she is happy the way they are. Once the doc's give up the ghost ill probably buy her the Solovair's. Lord knows she will not spend the money on herself 🤷♂️ Thanks for the great video!! Theres not a lot of videos comparing womens boots.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I’m glad my video was helpful! I did ask myself if I wanted to add the shine or not but went with my guts to go for the hi-shine. I’ll soon find out if that was a good decision or not!
Thanks for you comment! If you’re referring to the best size, you can email their customer service to see how they can advise you. They’re friendly and quick with their response. I hope that helps.
Bought mine about a year ago, best boots I’ve ever owned. It’s starting to get shiny now. I wear em everyday for work
Thanks for your comment! I’d love to know which brand did you buy from?
@@SlothShower …probably! 🤡

@@wastelanderone nice one! ❤️ Have the greasy dealer boots been easy to maintain? I still have an itch for the doc martens but I should be good…!! 🙈

Hi, may I ask what's your usual size and which size did you get for Solovairs? I am wondering if I should size down if I do get a pair.
@@IzzahSalam thanks for your comment! Personally I’d recommend you size down. I’m usually a size 5 and have the size 4.
I'm a male and was trying to get suggestion in their site about my 10,5EE size.... no ANY info. Limited co.? Thank you.

So, which pair did you keep at the end?
Hello, I hope you’re well! I kept my solovairs in the end. I’ll have a video up soon sharing my final thoughts on that, watch this space ;)
I'm sad they sold out of the ramsey creeper girls dont cry collab loafers...
5 is a tiny foot! 4? Wow
IKR, you have to try them on to see what I mean! 😅 More to follow soon on whether I was right on the size exchange or not…!
Sexy as hell too.
@ *LUYBAG* I love you so much and watching your videos makes my day brighter
