Actually we planned to stay in Colva, South Goa but visit in North Goa for new year eve. Is it safe to travel back in midnight from North to South Goa on 31st? Again as we are having road trip from Bengaluru to Goa, so my husband is willing to buy wine there. Can you assist, how much liquor can we bring from there by road?
Thank You 😊 I presume that you are traveling in Car from Bangalore. So traveling in car should be safe from North to Colva. And Colva is near Madgaon Railway station. It is not remotely located beach. So it should be okay. As per our latest knowledge, 2 bottles can be issued on permit for single person. So you guys can carry 4 bottles. But please confirm this again from Liquor shop and ask the shopkeeper for permit. All the best for your trip

But my only request to you guys is to add a small message in your vlogs saying 'Plz do not litter & dirty the beach/place' & 'Its our responsibility to maintain such places to its original natural beauty'. Especially kolem, Kakolem & Galgibaga which are not yet so commercialized & are still a secret location to many. Cuz I feel, as we make such places Public, it's also our responsibility to spread the message too. Or else we might see it loaded with trash, in just a few days. I have seen that happen with other pristine locations in Goa. 🙏

There are three area to stay…one near colva beach area…which is near to madgoan station….second near agonda….and third Palolem. Well in between these area, many places are there to stay. I will suggest you first to decide what places you want to visit in Goa and decide the location of stay. If you going just for relax and leisure stay in Goa, then stay where you get best resort deal
True. With increase in number of people on beach, there are high chance of getting it dirty. I think people should be aware about these things and should not litter at any of the public place not only tourist places. We felt really sad when we visited butterfly beach and shiva waterfall in Goa, people just made this heaven like places dirty.
its a beach for turtles and primarily for the few people that can stay there I would stay away unless booked on accommodation, but already a million people see it. perhaps you can make a video of another beach to discourage or take this one down to protect turtles. already we have polluted water unsafe all over goa due to mass tourism these quieter places can be discovered by tourist who will make effort to look and explore not just go due to large number of hits on the internet without thought of consideration for the impact of this on the eco system, Here are some facts from last year. So nowhere in Goa is particularly clean I am sorry to say. The tourist centric beaches -- Miramar, Calangute, Morjim, Tiracol and Vagator in North and Mobor, Baina, Velsao, Colva and Galjibaga in South -- are highly-polluted and infested with disease causing pathogens. Water samples collected from these have indicated a high concentration of faecal coliform and biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), both of which point to the presence of pathogens and bacteria in water. According to the latest data released by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) in July, the presence of faecal coliform indicates that the water has been contaminated with faecal material of humans or animals. The water samples showed the reading for faecal coliform and BOD way in excess of the acceptable limit. As per the CPCB guidelines, the quality standards for water used for bathing and contact water sports demand that the faecal coliform level remains below 100 MPN (most probable number) per 100 mililitre (ml) of water and a BOD level of 3 miligram per litre (mg/L). The level of faecal coliform was found to be in the range of 500-1100 per 100 ml of water during the study conducted for the year 2022-23. The BOD limit was also in the range of 1.9 to 2.9 miligram per litre as against the permissible limit of one mg/l for Goa beaches. The level of Dissolved oxygen (DO) varies from 6 to 8 mg/L. I have been to Galgibaga from Palolem .... truly the cleanest beach in Goa even during peak season in non Covid times.
