san is the most emotional dancer i’ve seen. he’s probably the only person that could make me cry just by watching him dance. he puts his everything into every move to display the mood of the song. he’s not like other people who dance with no expression whatsoever. people criticize him for “overdancing” but i don’t see why. san sets the standard for stage presence. he’s really something special and he’s someone that a lot of rookies will look up to in the future.

He wasn't born a great dancer as he himself said. So in my personal opinion he deserves the recognition not only for being a great dancer now and a great performer, but for taking a time and effort and learning it.
I remember when I was watching the award show last year. Even though ATEEZ didn't have any fancy props and such, they still killed it. They destroyed the stage with their mere stage presence. If you'd watch the whole thing that night, they had the best performance. Their mics were ON. Outfits on point. And let me repeat their STAGE PRESENCE. The way they express when they perform. They were even on the top trends on korean site after this perf. If I'm not mistaken, this was one of the most viewed performances for day 1 on naver.

The audience was not loud but they catched BTS attention by covering bst song. The maknae line of BTS was totally enjoying their performance. When Mingi showed his abs jimin, tae, jin, jhope and jk were all amazed by seeing this. Jimin was the one who was totally impressed and was enjoying. They also passed taehyung's vibes. He was also enjoying by dancing on their seats. Jhope was also impressed by their dance.
The crowd.... I swear ateez will become one of the biggest kpop group in the future and then no one can ignore them and everywhere they perform will be their name chanting loudly. Well they're way more popular internationally and in Korea they're still labeled as a rookie group. Korea's seriously missing out, they're stage presence, performance and even vocals could outshine so many other groups which is super disappointing to me. They seriously deserve way more recognision.
Last year I watched this performance as non-atiny. They were the only group I watched the whole performance. The energy they served as group beyond explaination. They don't need any fancy props, they can leave people speechless even if they perform in a night suit.

The audience was not loud but they catched BTS attention by covering bst song. The maknae line of BTS was totally enjoying their performance. When Mingi showed his abs jimin, tae, jin, jhope and jk were all amazed by seeing this. Jimin was the one who was totally impressed and was enjoying. They also passed taehyung's vibes. He was also enjoying by dancing on their seats. Jhope was also impressed by their dance.
The crowd.... I swear ateez will become one of the biggest kpop group in the future and then no one can ignore them and everywhere they perform will be their name chanting loudly. They give their best in each of their performance and genuinely enjoy performing in every stage. They deserve the best of the best!!!

I literally remember absolutely losing it when the started performing the beginning of answer. the live chat comments on vlive were going crazy with people going like "No wayy" "are they gonna spoil it" "this is crazyy" etc. It was wild. Anyways happy 1 year anniversary to such a legendary performance!
