When you're wife says that's why she stopped reading the Bible when you read 1st Corinthians 11. Was she joking? It's not God's word that is the fault but some who misinterpreted it wrong which causes hurt to woman.
Hi Jeff, this is Susan. Sorry I’m just now seeing this. I wasn’t joking about not reading my Bible. And there are many people in the same position. The Bible was weaponized for so many years. Filled with law and God’s disapproval of me that I have trauma associated with reading it. But, I am slowly reading it in safe places with safe people. The good news is that I am in Jesus and he is in me so I walk with him every day!
