I'm a London cabbie and I picked him up couple of months ago. So around June 2016. He's in a wheelchair now and didn't look very well! It was a moving experience. When I got him home I thanked him for all the laughs he gave me as a young boy and shook his hand. I was choked up. Called my wife and could barely speak. True gentleman!
What a gentleman! Superb presence and wonderful nature. I’ve loved his movies for many years, especially Carry On Constance and Teaching. A British Gem!
They don’t make them like Leslie Phillips any more . What a wonderful actor, for my generation he was the perfect suave gentleman, oozing that effortless charm to such great effect in the early Carry On’s . A good innings at 98 though, you will be missed sir.

The only two things that come to mind for me when I think of Leslie Phillips are "Another Weasley! I know exactly what to do with you! GRIFFINDOR!" and "I am not just a cat... I am an IAMS cat".
He really was the loveliest. I don't think we ever heard any bad things about him. So much these days, we may be a fan of an actor or celebrity only to be disappointed to find out some sordid scandal about them. It is a shame it happens so often. So Leslie Phillips is one in a million, and sadly he's no longer with us. May he Rest in Peace. Born April 20th, 2024 - died November 7th, 2022. ❤
I liked him in his films in the film please turn over but didn't understand what he meant by saying( leave ? ) As I'm not going to leave .(Phillips ) sue or sue I don't care and don't care about Jean or Gladys or Gladstone. Or dr manners or agnus

Well he's 96 now so hope his quality of life isn't too bad
