    Very good prestation. I am a instructor. And I must say. That was one of the best, informative prestation's I have seen. Keep up the great work.

    Get proper weighting with your drysuit and always control whenever you change any piece of gear. Unfortunately, I had a rapid ascent that sent me one week to the chamber. I made the mistake to rent a drysuit while my drysuit was sent to repair. I needed extra weight and well that wasn’t good. Cheers and safe diving 🤙🏾

    Thanks a lot for the videos! The insert video clips (like the talc ones) are very valuable.
    Almost ready to join the TeamMembrane myself, planning a trip to the local dive center soon! Winter and fresh water are coming.

    Very good information Mark. I don't dive drysuits but everything that can be learned related to diving is good. If I ever try to do it I will not start from zero. Thanks.

      Hi,
      If it helps, I dive in cold UK waters and have a neoprene drysuit.
      If you do go for neoprene, I would recommend buying it from a store that can measure you and adjust to ensure all seals etc fit nicely.
      Mine is from Northern Diver

    Just ordered my wife and I, custom drysuite's and awaiting delivery so can't wait.
    Has anyone had any dealings with Aqua leisure / Aquatek ?
    Customer service has been great and price was half that of others but can't find much off if them review wise, so took the leap.
    I'll update when we have them, if anyone is interested?

      Usually zipped, just make sure its clear and well waxed if its going into long storage.

    The video was very informative I have watched many videos and have done research in dry suit diving and how to recover from a emergency position. The Question I have is do I need to take a course and get certified to dive in a dry suit or can I train myself. I have many friends that are divers and the are of two minds on this issue. I understand in my country 🇨🇦that I’m not required too take a course but if I travel outside the country what is policy wearing a dry suit without a certification card. I really enjoy watching all your videos. 👍

    • @ScubaDiverMagazine
      @ScubaDiverMagazine  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have yet to go anywhere where I was diving in my drysuit and they asked to see a drysuit cert. Doing a course will teach you all the important stuff about drysuit diving, but it is possible to be shown how to dive in one by friends who dive drysuit. Basically, spend some time in the shallows regardless and practice, practice, practice.

      @@ScubaDiverMagazine I can’t agree more one of the dive shops out here have pool time available that you can use your gear in the pool for 1 or 2 hours and practice your skills that’s my intention. Thank you for your response 👍

    Can you Store a dry suit on a hanger for storage. I have a hanging compartment for my wet suits & BCD

    • @PS-vy6ln
      @PS-vy6ln 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're buying one with attached boots, I would recommend a drysuit hanger. They dry really well on them and you can add other gear on too.
      Most conventional hangers aren't big or strong enough to hold them

    • @ScubaDiverMagazine
      @ScubaDiverMagazine  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah sure just as long as the zip is protected you should be all good

  • @mustanggun

    Question Mark... I've heard someone say that neoprene dry suits are not good for going deep tech diving because their buoyance characteristics change? Or something like that. Have you heard this? Or are neoprene and trilam good for all tech diving the same?

    • @ScubaDiverMagazine
      @ScubaDiverMagazine  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have heard people say that too, but then I also know veteran technical divers who do some serious depths and they use compressed neoprene suits. Overall though, I'd have to say that most of the tech divers I see regularly do use trilaminate suits.

    • @seikibrian8641
      @seikibrian8641 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The buoyancy on ALL dry suits changes with depth, because the air in the suit compresses and expands. That's why they have inflation valves and dump valves.

    First video I've watched about drysuits, and I think I've been put off them already. Sounds like another expensive ball ache to add to the already vast scuba gear configuration. I'll just stick to wetsuit holiday diving for the moment I think

    How do you hang a suit that has socks?

    • @ScubaDiverMagazine
      @ScubaDiverMagazine  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Get a special hanger so you can hang them upside down by the socks.
